Hello,
Am an Outland applicant. Applied for WP through AIPP on the 4th of February, 2019 with upfront medical and attended a visa interview on the 15th of April and on the 5th of May I submitted my bank statement which the embassy requested and since then nothing else. I tried contacting them through web enquiry form and the reply I got was that my application is under active review. Please what's my fate of getting approval and how long to wait. The wait is draining me. My interview was very successful that I even taught that my visa will be out in few days from the day I attended the interview.
Medical passed
We are reviewing your eligibility and
We are processing your background check..... this is what I saw on my profile!..

I typed something wrong in my application, so they asked me to correct that, and in the end they asked for something else from my employer. Nothing else.

Alright, they asked me for additional documents which I have sent to them. I am waiting for their final decision, hopefully it will come out positive..

To my observation, every time they ask for something, it pushes the process back a week a so. Mine was finished in just under 6 months. Wish you luck!

Hi everyone,

My question is to who applied for the TWP only (not PR).

1) How long after receiving the biometrics acknowledgement letter, your visa was processed?

2) Is the embassy/consulate requesting police check for work permit applications? This is not required on the work permit (AIPP) document checklist.

3) Did everyone receive the RPRF fee request? In the affirmative, was your PR processed along with work permit application? And how long did it take to process?

All applicants outside Canada: please kindly share your work permit application timeline.

Huge thanks!

Work permit processing time varies from country to country and is not consistent. Depends which country you’ve applied from and which VO is processing your application.

You need to refer to the AIPP document checklist that’s specific to your country in addition to the generic one when applying for AIPP work permit from outside in order to be clear about PCC.

RPRF comes usually after the VO is satisfied that you meet the requirements for PR which is towards the end of the processing time. It’s a positive sign.

I’ve applied for WP and currently waiting for a decision. My AOR is 3rd April

Hope this answers all your queries

I applied for TWP 2 month after I applied for PR. It took exactly 6 weeks for approval and another 3 weeks to receive it. No biometrics, as I applied from Canada. 1 month later, I found out that my PR was approved. I paid RPRF with initial application.
Interestingly, I was never able to check the status of neither on the online tool, it never finds me, no reasonable explanation was ever given to me by the immigration either online or on the phone... Not a big deal, since you can call them and find out the details.

hi everyone, I can't find much information about AIPP program and thought to ask under this forum.

Can someone please confirm if one can move out of AIPP province after PR or a few months of stay ?
If yes, how long one has to stay (months/years) at minimum ?
Do we need to get approval or NOC from provincial government of Atlantic or employer ?

Thanks for your replies :)

AIPP is for atlantic growth strategy. Once you are PR then you can move to any province and i know many people who moved within a week of getting a COPR. But the thing is IRCC still don’t know about the ‘misrepresentation’ of the people doing this. In several PR programs their are conditions written on COPR document. But people who are getting COPR via AIPP there are no restrictions written. In short morally it is not allowed but technically you may move to any province after PR card.

When you apply, you sign a form saying that you will establish yourself in that province. What that means, see for yourself. No terms mentioned. My guess, at the minimum it would be: leasing or buying a place, getting driver license, register your car there, working ...
