For those of you guys who are Jan 2017, do you have dependents or spouse? or it is just a single application?
I'm trying to prepare myself for the worst scenario haha. I'm Jun 2017 (through SINP). Seems like it might take me more than 24 months

Are you in security screening?

Yes, I know, and it seems like there are people in here that applied in Jan 2017 and did not receive anything yet. That is why I was asking about dependents or spouse
I think usually when applications go on for that long it means the applicant was selected for security screening, which I heard can add 6-9 months to the processing time :(

Ohh God, what does it mean? Do you know how I can find out if I'm the lucky one that has been selected?

I think you can find out by ordering gcms, CBSA and CSIS notes. From what I understand it's a more thorough screening of the applicant than usual for whatever reason

If you application is stuck of Eligibility for long, you request GCMS
and if it is stuck at security for long then you request CBSA and CSIS notes
