I think your message will change tonight, check back and let us know if it changes. It’s just an automatic thing from the system, doesn’t indicate anything just like the number of weeks remaining.
yup!! u r right

Now Status is:

Application status
We are processing your application. We will send you a message when there is an update or if we need more information from you.
Make sure you read your messages and take action when we ask you to. This will help move the application process along.

I might have to leave canada while PR is processing. Will the change of country affect processing times? Would it help if I go to US (as visitor) instead of home country?

Would appreciate any responses!

I was literally thinking of doing the same!!! Crazy. From what I have read, it does not affect the processing. You will need to inform them about new address and they might transfer your file to your local visa office. Also, they might ask you to provide biometrics, which potentially could delay processing.

What if I just leave for a vacation and then come back?

I'm not sure. But leaving Canada while PR is processing is not recommended. Because, if you think about it, they will have to include new country to their background check... Again, I'm not sure.

Hi all, just want to share my entire timeline here. I'm currently waiting for my passport back, and I'm getting a bit anxious. If you have questions about the application process, feel free to message me.

Application submitted -> March 12, 2019
Medical exam passed -> April 27, 2019
Passport request -> May 21, 2019 (10 weeks since submission)
Passport sent to IRCC -> May 21, 2019
Passport received by IRCC -> May 23, 2019

Is there any difference between these two status below:

"We are processing your application. We will send you a message when there is an update or if we need more information from you.
You may not hear from us for a little while, this is normal. Most of the progress on your application happens closer to your estimated completion date."

"We are processing your application. We will send you a message when there is an update or if we need more information from you.
Make sure you read your messages and take action when we ask you to. This will help move the application process along."

Any idea?

Guys,

I will be passing the 90 day mark on the 24th of June (AOR - 24th March) yet with no updates other than MEP passed on 6th May.
It will be 3 months since my AOR and I am still yet to receive any kinds of updates. WOW!

Last time I called IRCC was in the third week of May where I was informed that my criminality was still in progress with everything else yet to be started and that my VO was Vancouver. I haven't called IRCC since then. I am planning to give them a call on the 24th of June to check the status (fingers crossed).

3 MONTHS?? WOW! - anyone else in the same boat? If yes, what are you expecting next will happen?

I will keep you guys updated.

Well estimated processing time is 6 months... don't call them for updates until after the 6 months has passed. And usually, the updates come towards the end of the processing (maybe they update the profile all at once?). Just be patient. I also just got the MEP update when I applied, and the next update after that was me getting an email for PPR. All the progress dates (background check, eligibility check, etc.) showed up AFTER my application was finalized and approved.
