I'm currently applying for a tourist visa. I have wife in Canada who is a Canadian Citizen. We are married also here in the Philippines for more than a year already. I'm a Filipino and my Permanent Resident visa is not yet on process.

I want to visit her for 1 -2 weeks. And I want to surprised visit her. So I cannot get an invitation letter from her. I have work also and all expenses including hotel and round trip tickets will be paid by me. I will not be staying also at my wife's home with her family. I have booked an hotel for me to stay and also with my wife for a couple of days.

What should I upload in invitation letter. Cause it says in Canadian website that it is " required".

I have stable job in a well-known company. I can provide Income Tax as well as payslip, bank statements etc. The only requirement that I cannot provide is the INVITATION LETTER. Will my tourist visa get an approval or denied?

Can I have a sample of your 2 weeks Itinerary. Thank you very much

Explain in the invitation letter section whatever your intention for surprising your wife is and why you can’t get an invitation letter from her.

Not having an invitation letter is not a reason to be denied.

Do not pay for flights and hotels before the visa is approved.

Search on Google for sample itineraries for your city/province as Canada is a very big country and we don’t know where your wife is based or what your budget and travel preferences are like.

Thank you very much. I just a bit worried. Since my purpose there is to visit my wife for a couple of days only.

About the hotel and round trip tickets. I think there's a portion there wherein it is required. Itinerary, round trip tickets and booked hotel.

Thank you very much. It will be a big help.for those who cannot provide an invitation letter.
Since there's a label there it is "required"

With regards to Purpose of Travel portion; itinerary, booked hotel and rount trip tickets. Those are some proof that needs to be uploaded. But is it really a requirement to do advanced booking prior to approval of your tourist visa. If not, what are the other options to show or needs to be uploaded on Purpose of Travel? Thank you

Flight tickets and hotel bookings are only suggestions to fulfill the requirement. We’ve seen many people pay for these things and still get their TRV applications rejected. Save yourself the stress of dealing with refunds and rebookings. Unpaid dummy bookings are enough.

A brief letter explaining your purpose of travel and a daily travel itinerary and budget detailing your visit in Canada can also fulfill this requirement.

The “requirements” are based on your answers in the questionnaire. If you change your answers, you’ll see that the requirements in the checklist will also change.

If you don’t want to take my word for it, that’s fine. I recommend you also take the time to read different cases on this forum, a mix of rejected and approved ones to get an idea.

You have to do some work and research if you want to make a strong application.
