Just got my test invite for Surrey.

I send my application end of august, in process end of November, got my invitation today (may 24 - so 6 months from IP) for June 25 test date.

I suspect I with have my oat until August which will make it a full year.

So happy to have finally received my test invite!

I'm a Vancouver applicant, will add my timeline to help as well.

Residence : Port Coquitlam
Single applicant
App received: July 9, 2018
AOR: September 4, 2018
In process: September 28, 2018
Test invite email: April 16, 2019
(Test date was May 15, 2019)
Decision made: May 16, 2019

Waiting for oath invitation, which I was told would take 2-3 months.

Test and interview were done in Vancouver, 877 Expo Blvd. I was there at 8 am and was out by 9:15. I was also among the first few to finish the test, so I was called for the interview right away.

As you can see from my timeline, I didn't hear from IRCC for 7 months, but don't worry. As long as you are under the 12 months processing timeline, all is good.
So yesterday I received my Oath ceremony invitation. Exactly 3 weeks after the test date. My ceremony will be July 1st at Canada Place. A special ceremony for Canada Day. So exciting!

So it took almost a whole year for them to process your application. *Sigh* guess I won't be able to vote this October.

Yes. Last I heard from them was September 2018 when my application went in process. After that radio silence till mid April 2019. So 7 months of nothing. July 9 will be 1 year since they received my application. Oath ceremony is July 1st.

Hello,

Just wanted to share that we took the oath yesterday (June 13, 2019) in Vancouver. ECAS showed complete this morning (June 14, 2019) and went to apply for the passports right after.

Taking the oath is one of the best feelings in the world, it's hard to describe. It'll be a moment that we'll remember for the rest of our lives.

Best of luck to everyone and thanks for your continuous support in this forum.

Cheers!

Just got my GCMS notes. I'm December applicant from Coquitlam (app received on Dec 3). Looks like my application was initially forwarded from Sydney CPC to Surrey IRCC office and then transferred to Vancouver Citizenship office in April. Notes were generated on May 20 and as of this date only criminality check is completed. Due dates for eligibility and security are in Feb 2020 and there's no other interesting info in notes.

Exactly I don't get how it works, why does it take 1 year to do something that can be done in 3 months!

Some November and some December applicants (including me) got invites today. My test location is Vancouver. See relevant threads.
My family are Surrey applicants who had gone into IP on 20th Nov 2018. Had the test and interview in Surrey this morning. Passed the test and after the interview we were told that in 2 to 3 months we should have our oaths.
