Procedural Fairness Question - Employment Misrepresentation

Thank you for your input. I have engaged an attorney already. He is working with us on this. It's very stressing, especially when I spent so much effort and money to get a Masters Degree from a top university, got a dream job, and started to settle down in Canada. Our life would totally be uprooted because of one single company name mentioned in an application filed in 2013. I applied for a Study Permit and TRV, PGWP and TRV renewal after that with the same information I filled in my PR application and received my all Visas without any issues.

And the worst thing is that the TRV I received in 2013, I never even traveled using that TRV and applied for a new one with my study permit in 2016 because my passport was expiring in 2016.

That said, I can also see the point of view of the Visa Officer because he/she could have never figured out the similarity between the two companies. Hopefully, with this last effort stretch, this ordeal will be over for me :(
I am sure that everything will be sorted out and you'll get your PR. Let's hope for the best.

I submitted the supplementary documentation but quick question:

I had 52 pages worth of documentation, so I had to really submit in a low quality, black and white format documents. Will that work? The limit of file upload was just 3.5 MB and lot of the pages were images in my pdf. Now I am wondering if I can resubmit the web case enquiry again with the colored ones? Will that create any confusion?

Please advise.

I resubmitted the colored scans just to be sure. Had to trim down some content but I had so many docs combined with the docs from my lawyer that it took me more than 6 hours to just put them under 3.5 MB while still maintaining a readable quality. Thank you all for your answers on this post. At least this is something out of my hands now and whether I make or break it, this forum has been very helpful and kind.

In my case, the heading on my cic account said "Procedural Fairness" and within the letter, the VO has cited Paragraph 40 (1)(a) and 40 (2)(a) and mentioned misrepresentation. If they are just asking you submit some more documents without talking about ban or refusal than you are in good shape and should not treat it as a risk. But, I am saying from my own experience and may be senior and experienced members can comment on this. It's very hard to know unless you share the letter.

Today, I received an information letter from CIC starting like :-

"The processing of your application for permanent residence in Canada is now complete. You must complete the following steps within 7 days in order for your Confirmation of Permanent Residence to be issued. ..........................."

Is this a PR acceptance letter?

Thank you!

Thanks! I am an inland application and I have nothing to update stated in the letter. Should I just wait for someone to contact me? I did change my physical address within Toronto and moved to a new apartment. Should I inform the CIC using webform about that?

Thanks for the quick reply. If it is a PR confirmation than I am glad I was able to overturn the procedural fairness.

The complete letter looks like below with the title of the message "Information Letter" in the myCIC account.

Dear XXXXXXXXXX,

The processing of your application for permanent residence in Canada is now complete. You must complete the following steps within 7 days in order for your Confirmation of Permanent Residence to be issued. If for any reason you are not able to meet this deadline, you must inform IRCC immediately via the IRCC Web form with details concerning your situation. The Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship (IRCC) office responsible for issuing you a Confirmation of Permanent Residence will contact you shortly to arrange an appointment for your landing.

STEP 1: UPDATE YOUR APPLICATION

If any of the following conditions apply, you must inform us immediately via the IRCC Web form

 Marriage or common-law union, divorce, annulment, legal separation;

 Death of the sponsor, the principal applicant or any accompanying family member;

 Birth or adoption of a child, including grandchildren born to dependent children;

 You, the principal applicant, or any of your family members have been charged or convicted of a criminal offence.

STEP 2: CONFIRM YOUR PLACE OF RESIDENCE

If you and all family members included in the application are in Canada, you are not required to submit your passports or apply for an authorization to enter the country. The IRCC office responsible for issuing your Confirmation of Permanent Residence will contact you to make an appointment to finalize your application. If you and/or your family members are NOT currently residing in Canada, you need to advise us of your current place of residence as this may impact the issuing procedures of your Confirmation of Permanent Residence and/or visa. Please advise us immediately via the IRCC Web form

***Please note that Confirmation of Permanent Residence and permanent residence visas cannot be issued to holders of Diplomatic, Official or Military passports. You must have an ordinary passport.***

STEP 3: PREPARE YOUR DOCUMENTS

When you receive communication from the responsible IRCC office for your appointment, please make sure to bring the following documents:

1. Original Passport(s) for all people included in the application.

2. Two (2) photos of yourself and of each accompanying family member. See our specifications at: www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/pdf/5445EB-e.pdf

I received my landing appointment this week which is 7 weeks after my decision made information letter. I will be doing my landing this week. I want to thank all the people in this thread and on this forum who were very supportive of my case and gave me the confidence I needed when I got hit back by a procedural fairness letter. My belief is now firm that CIC do take into account every last bit of evidence so please be as detailed as possible while submitting your PR application or if you've received a procedural fairness letter.

The other thing that I think is really worth the money and time is hiring an immigration lawyer. Good ones are expensive but when I saw the cover letter written by my lawyer in our case, it had value for every dollar we spent.

Thank you again!

You want to provide hard evidence that the two companies are related - things like incorporation papers / tax papers, a letter from the main company confirming the sister company - and confirming how you were paid and why.
Thanks for your reply. I was able to submit the docs, get approval for my application and get my CoPR. So all good now :) Waiting for my PR card now.

I think that you may have a Trojan or Virus on your computer. This is the second quote from you that contains an embedded URL that is not in the original text. See https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/sponsoring-my-autistic-brother.450403/page-2#post-8148869 for the other one. Reported...
