Choosing the right NOC code

hello
I have a challenging time determining the right NOC code that match my current job responsibilities

Will 0013 - Senior manager category be the right code to choose if I am a member of the Leadership team but not a Vice president by profile name
VP is not a very common term in the retail industry like in financial institutions

How do I prove that I satisfy some or all of the duties attached to this NOC code?

any advise is greatly appreciated

Honestly, if you have to ask that, then it is probably the wrong NOC code. But if you post your job duties and responsibilities as well as a general description of your company (what it makes/sells and to whom), then we would have a better chance of giving a reasonable opinion : )

Hi,

I got the work permit in 2017 under the NOC2174 Skill Level A but I started to work in Canada only from 2018 for the same company as a Manager with new offer, recently i extended my work permit under this NOC0213 Skill type 0.

Ideally I have 1 year experience as Managerial skill type(0) but the workpermit for this tenure was under Skill Level A
Now the new workpermit is under Skill Type 0.

Now I am applying for Express entry what should i chose for my primary occupation NOC? Kindly advice

Any suggestion or information would be greatly appreciadated!!!

Hello Everyone,
I am also confused with 2 NOC, my primary occupation is Human Resource Professional but for last 2 continuous years ( 3.5 in total) i am managing two NOCs together that is 0112 (HR Manager) and 0114 (Administrative services manager) under the job title of General Manager Human Resources and Administration. Now HR NOCs are not in demand but i have recently come across the demand of 0114, so i am willing to apply for this (as i complete continuous 1 year requirement) what shall i do, shall i make two separate profiles in EE pool or i use both NOCs in same profile, which one to keep secondary and which one to keep primary (considering my original profession is not in demand in any province).

please guide. Thanks in advance!!

It sounds like you are saying you were authorized to work under NOC 2174, but changed jobs before getting a new work permit (e.g. worked without authorization). Even if it is with the same employer, if you want to change jobs, you are supposed to get a new work permit before you start the new position.

I would say, the way forward out of this mess depends a lot on the letter that your employer will write regarding your position(s) and job duties/responsibilities, and what your supporting documents (e.g. T4) say (as job title).

Thanks Jes_ON, from what you say I should have updated obtained new work permit based on the new job role. But It was more like getting promoted from current role, may be I should have consulted earlier in this regards.
For now even though my Title in Job offer says Manager my job role is same as my old work permit (NOC2174) so I'm thinking of choosing my primary occupation NOC as 2174 and get a letter from my employer regarding my position(s) and job duties.

Kindly let me know if that would be correct or you have different suggestion?

Is this NOC 1122?
Also, would it be a misrep if a person changes/modifies his NOC duties with a 2nd application (1st application was refused on the based of NOC code mismatch) @scylla

Well, based on this, I have no idea what you actually DO. LOL. This is a case where a little more context would be of enormous help - Your title makes it sound like you are in a retail store, but perhaps you work in the corporate HQ of a retail company? If you work with clients, are they the general public, or other businesses?

I would say, probably - (sorry, NOC Level C, not eligible)
1434 – Banking, insurance and other financial clerks

I would say, probably NOC 6551 - sorry, again, not eligible.
6551 – Customer services representatives - financial institutions

Why do you think it is important to have the same NOC for two different jobs? (It is not required for CEC) It is much more important to select the correct NOC code.

Thanks for your response. What do you think of 6314?
Since the applicant is not a CEC applicant , he is aiming for same noc code to gain points under fsw.

Hello I have more than 10 years of experience in my field. The query is since cic only counts points for 3 years should I provide the work experience letter for last 3 years only as per noc code?

Or for all the 10 years?
