Hi I am a born canadian met my partner online in philippines july 2017 travelled to manila oct 2017 we have been together now in philippines since that time more than 18 months. We just had a baby boy 1 month ago here. I already processed my sons citizenship at embassy in manila they said would take 8 months. I am planning to apply now as outland sponsor common law. As we have a child now does that make things easier at all? Also if I apply and we decide to go Canada on a trv while sponsor app is in what happens there?

Hi guys! I just have a quick question.
My boyfriend and I have been together for a little bit more than a year.
We’re planning to get married in Las Vegas so there won’t be any guests and no pictures of the wedding (or very limited ... no family members) Would it be a red flag?
PS. We are not living together yet but planning to move in right after the wedding).
Also I’m case it’s a bad idea to get married in Vegas is there any advice for us, how to satisfy requirements and have enough documents to prove that our marriage is genuine with a limited budget for the wedding? We live in Vancouver and prices in the whole area are just crazy

Hi All, I just received invitation letter for pre-arrival services. I am not sure how to understand it/what it means in case of my application? My application was submitted in January 2019, in March it was sent to visa office in Amman. I didn't hear from them since except for 1 email requesting additional police certificate (which I submitted), and now I have received this invitation. Any clues?

Have u lived with her for 18 straight months in phils? If so u can apply for her PR as common law. Having a child together doesn't make things easier or harder for.her PR. Also not to be the bearer of bad news unless she owns a business or lots of property canada won't issue a TRV to her. I'm Canadian and am in the middle of sponsoring my filipina wife. She was denied a TRV in 2015

Hi All,

Is it normal that SA phase takes more than 5 months????
I submitted my documents on 31/12/2018 and still no update from their side about SA.
I submitted my application on the exact same date as u and got AOR in Feb 2019 and 2 weeks after that got my SA. I'd call CIC if I were u thats a long time

My husband is a canadian citizen that he hasn’t been in canada since he was a child
So we decided to move back to canada is that a probelem he wasn’t in canada for a long time?!
What financial documents we must have to show we can afford to live in canada?
Where I must submit our package when it completes (we’re living in iran)

He has to convince CIC that he intends to relocate to Canada as soon as you receive PR. You can look on the forum to see examples of what you must show. You also have to show that you can support yourselves financially without government help.

Hello

Can anyone one advise what date is considered as the application receipt date. I sent my application on May 28, 2019 and it was delivered on May 30, 2019. The forms were updated from June 2019. Will my application be considered since it was delivered on the 30th of May or do they have a different application receipt date?

Hi everyone,

I am sponsoring my partner who lives in Lithuania. We lived together in Canada for 3 years while he was here on a Work Visa. He overstayed his Visa and was eventually deported and had to stay out of Canada for a year. That year concludes on June 15th, 2019. We are at the AOR 2 stage of a conjugal sponsorship app but since the stay out order is about to be lifted, what's the smart play? If he comes back on another Visa and we resume living together, I'm assuming that would help our application quite a bit?? Any negatives? Would he ever have to go back to Warsaw VO for interview if requested or would that be moved somewhere local?

He is very unlikely to be granted a TRV after being removed. What are your grounds for a conjugal sponsorship? You qualified as common law
