In your new application declare past misrepresentation, explain how the mistake happen and hope for the best.

There's no such thing as "I didn't do it on purpose". Your intention does not matter, the act of committing misrepresentation is enough to get banned. They aren't going to ask you why you did it.

Did you get banned for five years? Why are you applying for a TRP? If you tell us a little more about your circumstances, we can help you.

In general, TRPs are usually given if you have a compelling reason to visit Canada while being otherwise inadmissible. For example, you may get a TRP to visit a very ill parent in Canada.

TRPs won't be given for purposes like tourism, visiting friends, working, etc.

I lied on previous Visa Application which was never detected and Visa was denied. But I now want to apply again after 8 years and this time I want to write every information right. Will I be charged for misrepresentation because of my past application?

If you declare all things you have lied about, then no. You should be good. BUT, you application will be reviewed intensely. So make sure everything is clearly explained, etc.

That's not necessarily true, as there is a case of someone on this forum who applied for a second eTA after misrepresenting the first "inadvertently", and correcting the record, and still received a PFL regarding misrepresentation.

What were you untruthful about?

All applications are stored electronically. Your previous application will be accessed when you reapply

I don't know what I lied about honestly to say,My application was done through a Visa agent,He used a passport and date of birth which was my former name and former date of birth,As at that time I really did not know anything about immigration procedures and I did not get the chance to go through the packet sent to the embassy. But I want to make amends now and send everything with my new name and date of birth.

I understand that you can change a name.....but how can you now have a different date of birth?

Using a different name and birth date would not fall under the "My dog ate my homework", rule. Some people might submit a doctored bank statement, education certificate, and hope that it squeaks by undetected, but using a totally different name and birth date, and then state they did not do this on purpose. If it was not done on purpose, what reason would you give ? Misrepresentation is an extremely serious offense, but stating that it was not done on purpose...well......and waiting 8 years to come clean....
What reason was that visa denied for ?
