I’m also a May 2018 applicant, my test was in January. I’m also still waiting.
Did you try contacting them after one year of submitting your application was complete?

I wonder if contacting the MP would help. There are June and July 2018 applicants who have received the oath ceremony date already so not sure why they’re not processing it in order.
I called IRCC and they said it will come soon and no problem with your application.
Not sure MP office can help
My application is for family so I heard that family application takes longer than single application - do you have any idea ??

I have heard that too that family applicants take longer, not sure how true is that. I’m a single applicant and still waiting.

I have heard that MPs are not able to expedite the process but since it’s already been a year, there’s a good reason to contact the MP. There really is nothing to lose, sometimes it depends on the MP if they want to be proactive or not, I think with federal elections coming up, they may have more reasons to be helpful.

Do you think meeting local MP office would help?

Most applications from Toronto, Scarborough and Mississauga since October 2017 took about 14 to 15 months to complete. Anything under 12 months have been rare.

It seems applications from countries that are not visa exempted to Canada takes longer because of extensive security checks and slow responses from external agencies
Decision is already made on the application October 2018. I requested ATIP notes and it clearly says - No concerns with this application - Oath ready. Still they do the security checks ?

people applying from Counties which has an info sharing agreement with Canada will tend to spend less time in security because the data is readily available.

Security check may prolong the processing time but once the decision is made it shouldn’t since it means once is oath ready and just needs to be scheduled but I still don’t understand how do they schedule the oath ceremonies because it doesn’t seem like it’s any in particular order. I know people from no -visa exempt countries that got their citizenship within 5 months.

What does "Decision Made" in ECAS really mean? Is there anyone here who has been waiting for Oath date with "Decision Made" for more than a month?

Decision made means a decision has been made on your application, if there aren’t any issues with your application then it means you’re in queue for the oath ceremony. I got my DM in January and still waiting for the oath ceremony.
