Hi Maverik,

Good to see your post. I would like to confirm once again regarding the two or more degree program.

I have completed diploma of 1 yr in 2007 and the started Bachelor degree in 2008 and completed in 2012.

Will WES will consider this as two or more degree program?

Thanks.

Hi,
I've completed my 12th in year 1997. then I started.
1. Three & Half Year Diploma in Computer Engg starting from July 1997 to Dec 2000 as regular course.
2. Also during the same period I've started my Graduation in year 1998 which completed in year 2001. This course is distance education from M.D. University Rohtak.
3. Then completed my Master of Computer Application. started from year 2006 and completed in year 2009.

Can I get evaluated all three Diploma/Dgrees from WES? OR there will be a problem or chances or rejection or any negative response on Comp Engg Diploma BA degree and there are in same duration or period.

I am unsure about this because, WES mentions that MTech candidate does not even need BTech credentials to be evaluated. I am getting BTech done as an addition. So I was really wanting to skip diploma as the MSBTE transcript process is going to take me long time. :-|
Hi, Monali / others,

I am also having a similar situation here regarding my documents to be sent to WES.

I have B.Tech 4 years and M.Tech 2 Years from India (VIT University).

I have only sent my M.Tech transcripts to WES as on their website too they mentioned that for "Master of Technology", they don't need Bachelor's documents to be evaluated.

Now my worry is would this affect my CRS Score in any way as my bachelor degree is not evaluated?

I am not sure about what is "getting extra points" for 2 or more degrees? I checked my CRS Score online with education selected as "Masters" and my total CRS points are equals to 469 (IELTS 8777 too).

Please, someone, clear my doubts.

Thanks in Advance.

I am speaking from Personal experience. I have done two years diploma in UK. Then got direct admission in the final year of the degree. Its called Top Up degree in UK. ECA came as Diploma two years and Bachelor degree four years. I have passed eligibility without any problem. My GCMS notes clearly shows I got points for two or more degree. You should order GCMS notes too. This will ease out your anxiety.

Remember your education points are completely based on your ECA report, it doesn't matter how many years or what level education you have.

Good Luck!
Hi @ishq74,
I know this is really late reply to your post but I really need your help. I hope you r still active on this forum. I have similar situation as you but my diploma was 1 year and I got admitted to 2nd year of 3 years bachelor program straightaway( done both in Australia). I got the bachelor assessed by WES as 3 years bachelor already (institution was recognised). I need your valuable opinion on whether should I get my diploma assess by WES aswell and what are the chances for it to be assess as 1 year canadian diploma program? Thank you in advance for your reply.

Cheers,
Diana

Certainly you can send your diploma for assesment to wes but I cannot assure you what will be the outcome because wes constantly changes its assesment policy. I have seen wes has assesed a UK 1 year diploma as "One Semester" certificate which will not fetch any CRS points. If I were you I would have sent my diploma to IQAS which I heared more consistant with their assesments.
By the way you can use both assesment reports even though they would be from two different organizations.
Hope it helps!
Good Luck!

Thank you so much for your reply @ishq74, I went ahead with WES. As they take time as well now to review and accept docs. Plus, the fee was $120 cheaper so no biggie. :D:D My college was in the list of WES recognise institutions when I put my diploma detail. I hope that was a good sign and hopefully they will credit my diploma as equal to Canadian diploma. Amen. But, I will get it assess aswell from IQAS as well, just in case WES won't recoqnise it as diploma. So, I eon't regret it later on tht I didn't get assess by IQAS sooner as their processing time is longer than WES.

Thanks once again for helping me decide what to do. :):)

I have done it through WES but I came to know that IRCC considers ECA report from PEBC if applicant has Pharmacy degree.
WES report says Juris doctor (first professional degree to practise ) for my law degree and so I have claimed points for professional degree which are equivalent to master degree in express entry application.
But for pharmacy degree WES report says equivalent to bachelor degree in pharmaceutical science that will give points for bachelor degree.
I am confused now.

I think assessment from PEBC serve 2 purposes...For claiming education points and license to practise.

So, u still can use WES ECA assessment to claim points for education for your EE profile but u can't use it for employment license purposes. You can get assessment from PEBC later to get a license to practise as Pharmacist in Canada. I hope that make sense.

hi all right now i am in big confusion please help and suggest me.

I have done 3 years bachelor degree ( Bsc IT ) From Maharashtra, INDIA. and having 3 years of experience working in TCS.

so my concern is that i have done only 3 years degree as per highest education and to raise my CRS scroe i am thinking to do PG diploma in International business from Pune university ( UGC approved ).

so my questions are that,

- is doing PG diploma 1 year in India is applicable is WES.

- did it help me for raising CRS score if my doing full time 1 year PG diploma.

- and did Canada accepts 1 year PG diploma is equivalent to a degree after doing 3 years of bachelor.

- is doing 3 years of bachelor degree and 1 years diploma will consider as 2 degree and i will get more CRS score ?

please suggest me will be very thankful to you.

No one will know because WES evaluate qualification differently. You can only find out when you actually get the report from them. But mostly I have heard WES evaluate Indian masters and PG Diploma down...Like Master as PG diploma and OG diploma as bachelor...So most of Indian applicants go with IQAS, ICAS or CES now for more fairer equivalency ECA assessment.

You can use WES degree equivalency tool here:
https://applications.wes.org/degree-equivalency-tool/

to check whether your institution is recognise by WES or not. If ur institution didn't come out from the drop down list, means is not recognise and big chance ur qualification will be assessed down.

Another way is to actually create WES account and try to enter your qualification there from the drop down list. If ur institutiin still not coming out as a suggestion, it means it's not recognise. So, if that the case then you better get ur qualification assess from other assessing bodies like ICES,IQAS and CES.

Thanks for replying me.
I have applied for pebc evaluation for safer side in case if they will request for it.
For point calculation they can consider also two bachelor degrees which could decrease my crs points by 5 points but after this deduction I will still be eligible.
Wait and watch what will be happened.
