yeah thankfully, though i'm completely clueless as to what stage the file might be at - this is the first ghost update that i recall seeing on my profile
I’m not sure either but I know my eligibility and security was left. I’m going to assume there was an update on my eligibility. I’m mentally preparing myself for ADRs.

Just got off call from a wonderful agent, who was very patient and explained a lot of my questions.... I hope this gives some insight to others who are struggling for answers about their applications...

Unfortunately, still same status
Eligibility - Recommended Pass
Criminality - Passed
Security - Not Started

Background checks have been initiated. My security when it starts could take anywhere between 3-12 weeks :)

1) Regarding the delay with my application - They are aware that cases are taking longer than usual now and it's because of huge backlogs. She explained that IRCC has taken steps to improve the processing times. Ottawa and Sydney offices have hired new case officers.

2) Why January 2019 and February 2019 applicants are receiving decisions faster - The case officers work based on targets and some case officers are just more experienced in meeting these targets sooner. Others take their own time depending on their work load. However, all efforts are made by the officers to process applications within estimated processing time. The delay could be due to various reasons and it varies with each case, could be an internal issue or sometimes it may be external and not within the control of IRCC.

3) When can I hear an update on my case - As of now, many cases may be delayed for 1-3 months because of the backlogs and workload of the case officer. A remainder has been sent and the officer may respond within 30 days, if he doesn't a follow up remainder will be sent. I should be prepared for at least 3 months delay :)

4) Difference between Recommended Pass/Met/Passed - Recommended Pass means the case still requires a final review and that comes from the case officer. Recommended Pass is definitely considered as a good sign.

5) About my Bring Forward Date June 11, 2019 - Bring Forward Date also known as Due Date, is technically a date assigned by the officers to review cases again. In simple terms, it's a remainder that a case is still pending and needs approval. Generally, call centre agents are not allowed to reveal these due dates to applicants because they assume they will hear a decision and it leads to more frustration when they don't.

It's an internally assigned dates which keep changing as the file progresses. It's not a guaranteed date that a decision will be made. If the required information is not received by the due date then the file will be marked with a new due date and the officer moves on to next case. For example, the officer expects my BG checks reports on June 11, 2019. Now if he doesn't receive these reports, then another new due date will be assigned to my case.
Thanks for the detailed insights @SithLord . Really helpful.. But do you have any idea about profiles where there had been no movement after medical.. completed 6 months timeline on 30 May .. eligibility still shows reviewing.

This process is getting scary for me. I passed the 6 months mark a week ago. My work contract ended in March so I had to move from the country I applied in and am back home waiting for PPR. If they send me a ADR request for PoF I can't show them the cash in hand I brought with me and my bank account will only show activity for the past 2 months when I transferred my money back home. Since I'm not in the country I was before, Japan, and my bank account there is closed, how the hell will I be able to contact the bank for info CIC might want? I feel like they will reject me because of this when I have the money but I have no way to prove it. I just want to start my life again which has been put on hold because they are taking so long!

I never actually planned on asking these questions but since I was lucky to get a great and polite agent I went ahead.

I know there are many others on same boat feeling very depressed about their cases. So I just hope this information will bring some relief.

At this point in time, Ottawa is experiencing heavy backlogs so we should all be mentally prepared for the delay.

@SithLord - thank you.. Not sure how you maintain this positivity in the face of such unpredictable circumstances.. We are just waiting here with absolutely no view on when and how our applications are going to be processed.. In short, life is on hold coz of this Canada PR thing.. Hats off to your patience and zeal to help others.. Thanks again..

I have a question guys.
Is POF part of bg check(ip2) or ip1 when they review eligibility?

I got my notes and there’s a review required for POF since I had submitted bank statements for just 3 months instead of 6. Can somebody suggest me if I should go ahead and submit 6 months bank statements before they ask for anything? And if yes, how can I do that? Through CSE web form? @SithLord

This is shocking. I guess they are overburned with applications they are getting. Visit, Student, Work and PR. This is going crazy now. if the wait times go up beyond a year, many ppl will be ineligible as they will be a year older. and with points going up, its again risky.
@SithLord Is this possible? You are 464 I believe? We are 467. July birthday date. So 1 yr will be added now. Will they recalculate? I am guessing once we received ITA they can't reject it. But will it affect the speed of processing? Will they start prioritizing higher CRS holders?
And did you ask about re medicals? When will they ask us to re do? With 2 months or 3 months left for expiry?
