Just now I called agent to know what was updated (Ghost Update) and he said it can mean anything :
- Something completed or intermediate status changed (Could be any item/Sub-item for Background check/Eligibility/Security)
- Nothing updated, Internal note updated by officer

In my case, he said some items in background check were completed. But, I don't trust these agents response.

Hi guys,
My AOR is 19th Nov
I was fortunate to get through the IVR just now and spoke to an agent. He told me that my file is currently in New Delhi and he does not have any access to give me any kind of information on the file.

What does that mean?
I asked him if there is anything that I should be worried about to which he said nothing for now.
Would be great if someone could give me some insight on this
That means your file was transferred to the local visa office. Mine was transferred as well to London. Unfortunately that means the the agents will no longer have access to the file and can not give any updates.
Only the local visa office officer is able to update the file. Not sure of the New Delhi office but London is unreachable.

Background checks have been initiated. My security when it starts could take anywhere between 3-12 weeks :)

1) Regarding the delay with my application - They are aware that cases are taking longer than usual now and it's because of huge backlogs. She explained that IRCC has taken steps to improve the processing times. Ottawa and Sydney offices have hired new case officers.

2) Why January 2019 and February 2019 applicants are receiving decisions faster - The case officers work based on targets and some case officers are just more experienced in meeting these targets sooner. Others take their own time depending on their work load. However, all efforts are made by the officers to process applications within estimated processing time. The delay could be due to various reasons and it varies with each case, could be an internal issue or sometimes it may be external and not within the control of IRCC.

3) When can I hear an update on my case - As of now, many cases may be delayed for 1-3 months because of the backlogs and workload of the case officer. A remainder has been sent and the officer may respond within 30 days, if he doesn't a follow up remainder will be sent. I should be prepared for at least 3 months delay :)

4) Difference between Recommended Pass/Met/Passed - Recommended Pass means the case still requires a final review and that comes from the case officer. Recommended Pass is definitely considered as a good sign.

5) About my Bring Forward Date June 11, 2019 - Bring Forward Date also known as Due Date, is technically a date assigned by the officers to review cases again. In simple terms, it's a remainder that a case is still pending and needs approval. Generally, call centre agents are not allowed to reveal these due dates to applicants because they assume they will hear a decision and it leads to more frustration when they don't.

It's an internally assigned dates which keep changing as the file progresses. It's not a guaranteed date that a decision will be made. If the required information is not received by the due date then the file will be marked with a new due date and the officer moves on to next case. For example, the officer expects my BG checks reports on June 11, 2019. Now if he doesn't receive these reports, then another new due date will be assigned to my case.

Great information! Thanks a lot for sharing. So, the following steps of your application are:
- an officer approves your eligibility and initiates security checks;
- they perform steps regarding security in 1-3 months;
- you receive your golden mail.

Seems like mine and yours are exactly the same, thanks for the update lets just hang in there

Correct!!

I forgot to add, even security checks are initiated in batches. Once the officer approves eligibility, all these cases are piled up and sent in 1 big/small batch to CBSA. Some security checks may last longer than others.

Wow! So the fact that my eligibility was approved on the 6th of April and the security was initiated on the 8th of April doesn't really mean that security checks were started the same day?

in one thread i read that ADR like -family info , travel history we get in IP1,,,, but i got family info ADR after almost 190 days ,, so im in IP1 or IP2

Wowzers. Despite the fact that the agent was able to answer your questions well enough, my fear here lies in the duration you may have to wait again in addition to being in the Elite 200 club...

At this stage, I would not look forward to the golden mail and just let it surprise me when it comes. Daily refreshing emails and attacking every new email is not working and unhealthy...

I am thinking you might be in SS, it's not taking long to pass the security after ADRs and ghost updates.

I too called ircc again.....
Same status......
But what surprised me is..... That the agent said of I don't hear from ircc till June end..... Then I shud call again and ask for further.... Whatever...... Waiting till June end would mean.... Waiting for 8 months ...... Though the agent was reaIly nice but I am not gonna call them again
