Date of Marriage Registration & Marriage Ceremony are different

I will tell you a story to clear your thoughts, a true story and a simple rule:

I was born in 80s in a small village of Pakistan (the name of village has been changed) . My parents did not care to register my birth, as they were not concerned, and it was not important at all. There came a day in My father's career when he had to leave for Middle east as he got job there. Immediately there was a need for Birth certificates. When he contacted the local village office the guy told them that he can only register my birth with a current date as they NOW have to get the documents signed from Higher authorities. The birth date can not be back dated to my original birth date.
We had no choice and we did that. Now I do celebrate my birthday on my day of birth, however, for all the document and proof related things I still go with the date of BIRTH registration.
Could you answer me this question romram, can I not use my original birth date and explain all this mess in a letter of Explanation

If you were born in 1980 then you would be 37 now. If the registration of your birth was done in 1988 and you consider that date, you would be 29. More CRS points for you then. How would CIC view that?

Very important point @xpressentry. But in my case there are no extra points for marriage date , so going ahead with my registered date would make sense as compared to confusing the VO with ceremonial date and registered date. All that the VO cares about is whether the person can prove conclusively that they are married, right?

Don't worry about me, because My biological age is even lesser than 25. Visa officer will not be able to tell that 8 years difference, he might think I am younger. OR do you want me to decline my ITA and to get my that date change in all of my documents?

I got married on a certain day and signed everything with witnesses on that day, which my document states. it was registered a few days later which the document also states. But I am putting the date I was married on, no the registration date.

I had my civil marriage in London so that is the UK government issued marriage certificate and I use that and the date for all official purposes. I had my church marriage in India 3 months later and the certificate is issued by the church. I never use that certificate for any official purposes. I got the UK marriage certificate apostilled to ensure validity outside the UK.

OK guys so what I have decided to do is to mention the date of the ceremony as marriage date and explain to the VO that why the date of marriage is before the date mentioned in marriage certificate. The advantage of doing this is that I am being truthful on my part, so there no chance of any misrepresentation. I hope this strategy would work for me.

Date of registration - 13th April.
Will it make sense if I explain in LOE that i did not get a chance to register my marriage immediately after the actual marriage date and got to know marriage certificate is mandatory document for express entry and hence register 9 months later?

The only important thing is your document. The ceremony is important to you but not important for application. The date on your document is the date you got married. You don't need any explanation. Just put the date on your document n attach the document. If you had a ceremony n u did register you marriage, then you are not married cos you don't have a proof.

I am VO and "I am not interested when did you celebrated your marriage ! I am also not interested what functions you had and how long are the celebrations in your area! Do you have a document that says that marriage was registered? Can you prove through documentation that your were actually married, and when? Provide us with proof "

Good day i have the same case what should i do we married on January 18 2019 but the mayor sign our marriage certificate on feb 20 so our marriage will register in feb 20,2019 but the ceremony happened on January 18 2019 we have evidence like social media post date jan 18 thank you please help me in my case can we provide just a explanation letter
