Can you please copy the text where you need my advice i am not able to figure out the question?
Sorry. here it is.

I am a PR card holder and my husband would like to immigrate via Express Entry.

While setting up his EE profile. when asked about whether I would be accompanying him to Canada we selected yes as I am leaving Canada to be with him during the application process, and will accompany him to Canada. This gives him 15 extra points as my brother is also a PR.

However, the application lists me as a dependent and it's my understanding that we will be asked to pay application fees for both of us, which makes no sense since I am a Permanent Resident.

I have 2 questions:
1) Would you suggest I select yes or no for accompanying spouse?
2) If no, Can my husband say he has a brother who is a PR even though he is technically his brother in law?

We just want to improve his chances of getting ITA soon.

Thank you

1. Select no as you are already a PR . (“accompanying spouse or common-law partner”, in respect of a foreign national, means the foreign national’s spouse or common-law partner who is accompanying him or her to Canada and who is not a Canadian Citizen or a permanent resident)
2. No,
Points for sibling in Canada
31 (1) Fifteen points may be assigned to a foreign national if either they or their accompanying spouse or common-law partner has at least one sibling who is

  • (a) 18 years or older;
  • (b) a Canadian citizen or permanent resident; and
  • (c) living in Canada.
You do not fall under the definition of Accompanying spouse so he can not claim the points.

While calculation of POF he will have to count you as a family member
How much money you’ll need
The amount of money you need to support your family depends on the size of your family. To calculate the size of your family you must include

  • yourself
  • your spouse or partner
  • your dependent children and
  • your spouse’s dependent children
Include your spouse or dependent children even if they’re

  • permanent residents or Canadian citizens
  • not coming to Canada with you

Thank you so much! Here's to hoping the cut off CRS score for rounds of invitations drops to 435 soon :)

Need advice urgently @legalfalcon
I have a CoPR visa stamped and i am traveling for a month to Canada to take PR card and then return to my country for 2 months.
Now, if i dont receive my PR card in a month, can i re-enter Canada as my visa says one time entry only. Do I have to get another visa stamped on my Pasport.
Note that, visa validity is still another 4 months but no.of entry is mentioned as only once.
Can I get another visa stamped?
Please let me know...i am worried a lot.

The eligibility met means that the case processing agent has recommended it met, now the Immigration officer will cross check it and make it pass.

The visa is valid for only a single entry, on your entry to Canada this visa will be canceled.
You have to apply for a permanent resident travel document (PRTD) if you are traveling back without your PR card.
Suggestion - Ask your friends/Family to send the PR card after they receive it.

To re-enter Canada after you have landed as a PR, you need a PR Card.

The PR visa with which you entered will be cancelled.

You can apply for a PRTD from your country of residence if you do not receive the PR card before you leave.

See you notes in the last 2-5 pages.

The eligibility takes place in 2 stages, first an analyst will review and make recommendation. Then an officer will review the recommendations and make a final determination.

Only after the officer has made a final determination, is the eligibility passed.

If your documents have been received, then it will take time to be reviewed. It can take 3-5 weeks. If you have submitted, then you need to wait patiently.

Hi @legalfalcon ! I really appreciate you for using your time to help people here, perhaps you can help me too.

I used to work in company A on-site, but I was outsourced from company B. Company B went bankrupt.
Just to make it clear: Company A hired company B to hire me.

Would an official document printed on company A letterhead be enough to provide proof of my work experience?
Yes, as long as all the details request by IRCC are mentioned in the work reference letter, you will be fine.

If something is missing, you can add supplemental documents, like your appointment letter, pay slips, etc. and explain in LoE.
