Has anyone here submitted their passport and other docs to finalize copr, but forgot to write in the mailing address on the pre-paid envelope? However, the pre-paid envelope has a stamp. Is this an issue?

I don't know if it affects it or not. You are a Canadian citizen, not a Permanent Resident in Canada, right? I go to Costa Rica and stay there for a few months, sometimes more, but still have to be in Canada a certain amount of the year for financial reasons.

I'm applying for my CR citizenship this year as well, but that too takes some time to process. I was told 6 - 12 months, and that's after you've spent two years accumulatively in CR after date of marriage, not counting all the times you've been out of the country. I prefer to have dual citizenship. How long did yours take from start to finish?

Hopefully, someone else can shed some light on the affect it would have on our sponsorship applications.
Me too. I always spend many months there. The only reason I travelled back to Canada was for the birth of our baby.
I spent much of my pregnancy in CR and plan to go back in 2 weeks until closer to Christmas! Haven't embarked on citizenship there yet - thanks for this info xo

Question(mostly for people with PA´s in latin america): have you ever thought out living outland with spouse while the process is ongoing? I just actally ran into the idea when I started reading that someone mentioned it to the US applicants. Is this a viable option? in terms of the application status, would that affect it?

I mean, in my case next week I get my CR citizenship, God willing, and im actually thinking about it. I really dont wanna be away from my husband any longer, but these people will not hurry up with the application process. YES I KNOW i should be grateful for x, y and z, but at this moment there are many thing i find injust. I find it SO hard to believe that in the times we live they cant offer more update on application statuses other than a 12 month process bar. that when you call to IRCC you get the same generic answer of 8-12 months, that people get forms with other names on it and out of fear cant continue with the process because THEY screwed up, and because of that they are now delayed further on in the process. I dont know guys, maybe im just venting cuz im stressed out, had a tough day at work, but i know most of you will understand. I know that most of us left in this forum are (mostly) from the same continent.
I fly back with our new baby in 2 weeks to see Hubby! And I plan to STAY in CR until this thing is close to finished.
Haven't seen him since I returned to Canada in March. It's going to be beautiful in paradise!

I don't know what your PPR said, but in mine it specifically stated to not write in the return address on the prepaid envelope and to leave it blank. They had me write the mailing address on the "annex A" form. However this was for a mailing address in Canada so I'm not sure if it changes depending where you are from.

You did it right because your mailing address is in Canada. Are you currently residing in Canada? In my case, my mailing address is in the U.S. and the PPR letter does say that the pre-paid envelope should be 'Self-Addressed'..I got the stamp on there, but not the mailing address..So now, I am concern if it's going to be a big deal to them. I wrote the mailing address in the "Appendix A" form anyway; I hope they'll just write it in the pre-paid envelope for me. lol

Is your sponsor a Canadian citizen? If so she can go for as long as she likes. If she’s a PR, then she’s best limiting to no longer than 3 weeks.
yes she's a CA citizen.

Tried to flagpole today with my wife to validate her COPR, but sadly the location was maxed out (Queenston-Lewiston). Going to try to book an appointment now in the Etobicoke officers since I don’t feel like wasting another day only to get told they are full again. Really disappointed though as I was excited to finally have my wife’s PR process completed today, but alas, we have to wait a little while longer.

So ..what is flagpoling? When you get COPR can you go to any border or are there specific ones? Is queenston-lewiston the only one we can go to..not peace or rainbow? Sorry for all the questions!!!
