@SithLord

The processing of applicants starting January 2019 will be faster due to the new biometrics, which speeds up the security.

Also the delays are at the LVO, were the applications keep sitting after the eligibility by an analyst is passed.

The new norm seems to be 7-8 months.
I needed to give biometrics but my application is still exceeded 6 months and many people from my county is in that situation so biometrics doesn’t speed up the process dramatically.

The main issue nowadays is the number applications and that IRCC can’t assess them in time.

Just once and that arrived on March 14th, nothing had started.

Last week, agent said eligibility - recommended pass, security - not initiated and criminality passed. Officer is waiting for BG checks to complete then he will approve my case
That’s cool. So recommended pass is as good as Pass? I have the same status.

wait, 80% of Nov applicants haven't got PPR? And by Nov 1st week guys like you, 6 month ended by this month 1st week right? They have taken more than 6 month now!
And I see there are a lot of new comers or probably silent observers that just log in to tell us they got PPR with Nov 29,30 etc as AOR date :(
I am hoping so much that we will know tomorrow. At least for us, its just 1 week gone. But hopefully for some of you Nov 1st week, they have to issue the PPRs.
I just checked immitracker. Seems like they are on course to meet their 80% target for Nov applicants.

455 active cases with Nov AOR, 250 have got PPR so far. Thats 56% done.

Since 2/3 of the month is over, they should be done with 2/3 * 80% = 53% of the applications.

Just wait it out. Last week, PPRs rained in my VO (NDVO) with even Nov 30th getting PPR and I have Nov 14th. There is no sequence, when your time comes, it'll come :).

Usually, the BG checks only start after eligibility has been recommended pass/passed.
This terminology doesn't work in my case .because they have started my backgroung check and also reviewing eligibility .

Hey Guys.. this is going to be a long read
AOR 30th November (FSW O) India
I was so confident of getting the PR in 4 months as a few of my friends got it back in mid 2018. So back if February i booked my flight ticket to Toronto for 24th May. Then while we entered May i realized I have to cancel my tickets. But since Jet Airways shut down it's operations, I got a little lucky in not losing any money on cancellation. In fact I got an option to choose another date to fly and I chose 19th June without paying additional charges (I didn't cancel since I had booked the flight for dirt cheap price INR 47k for a return ticket).

Again, I'm working with Honeywell and since my initial plan was to fly on 24th May, i resigned on 8th March so that i finish my 2 months notice period by 7th may. And since I still haven't got the PPR I would have been jobless but fortunately honeywell has agreed to extend my notice period until 31st May.

Coming to my profile, I have submitted all documents as per their requirements, like on company letter heads, bank certificates, IT returns and so on.
Last update i got was on Jan 9th when i passed the medical and have no updates post that. Still shows we will let you know once we start background checks.

I have 9 days left as per the tracker and less than a month left for my scheduled flying date. Raised a query on webform last week and was informed VO is Ottawa, eligibility is in review and BG not started. Ordered notes on 1st May and awaiting.

I've been lucky so far with flight ticket change and even extending my stay in Honeywell and want to test my luck with the PPR now.

We all have our own stories and I hope the best for everyone. :)
