PA from India ... he is my work colleague and I helped him with the application stuff !!
Judging from the spreadsheets, it appears that if the PA is from India they have a much greater chance of being processed within 6 months (not a certainty). I just want to know how it all works? Many of us January applicants are being processed through CPC-M but our applications are not processed at the same rate and certainly not in order from when the application was received.

I truly want everyone to be with the one they love but (critical circumstances withstanding) it doesn't seem fair that some have to wait longer to be reunited with their partners. But I count my lucky stars that even though me and my partner are as far apart as we could physically be, that we are both healthy and safe. Good luck to us all, and if you are separated from your love I hope that you will be reunited soon!

Please forgive my lacking of knowledge, but where can I see this spreadsheet?
Thanks!

AGREE FULLY. WHAT GIVES. o_O
WE ARE STILL AWAITING TRANSFER to VO ....
Appears to be not a fair process by any stretch.
& if PA is from central Americas or DR or anywhere in the vicinity... it's an extra long, dragged out process.
People I share this speculation with say part of it seems to be $$, status or location.

Well, after I took the advice of a couple of people on here and had my step daughter go ahead with the medical tests on May 13th and Dr. appt. on May 14th altho her medical request form was incorrect, IRCC sent a new form with Jenni's corrected surname on it on May 16th. I took 77 days - Feb 28th to May 16th!!

So like others said, if there is anything wrong with your name on forms, don't worry about it, proceed using birthdate and UCI # because absolutely nothing was accomplished in that period of time … what a waste! Lets hope we can move along now …

Good morning guys hope you are all doing well.
I was wondering if my husband needs to send me money for my sponsorship to move quicker.
Its been 4 month since application was received but my husband never sent me money through receipts, he always just gave me cash whenever i saw him (went to visit). He is sending me money this month, when i get a receipt can i send this to cic or my VO, even if they didnt request any additional forms yet.
So far what has happened: completed biometrics, transfer to VO & still waiting for a request for medical examination and everything else lol

Pure speculation on my part, but I would suspect that as Indian applicants appear to be the most common (if the spreadsheet is representative it’s about 40% of applicants) there is a specific team to deal with those cases, even within Mississauga. Cases are already divided up on various other bases - and sent to various local or regional offices - it’s not unreasonable to think the same is true even within an office with high volume.

Once you assign cases to different teams they can’t be compared - they enter different queue systems. If you assume active processing times are the same for everyone, it would mean the India team have a smaller backlog of cases and so the wait time to start processing in earnest is shorter. End result is cases complete sooner.

There will be other factors, but that’s my guess why India cases in Mississauga are seemingly prioritised -they aren’t. It’s just that their queue is currently shorter.

I stress again - All speculation on my part. It could be something else entirely.

I am glad more people are saying what I was saying all along and it was based on the spreadsheets info. I still cannot believe so many of us are waiting for a biometrics request, and even a transfer notification. I feel horrible for the applicants who submitted even before our month. It is very unfair that applicants who submitted their applicant after our month have gotten so far ahead, not to mention the apps received after mine even from my own country or anyone's received date really. I do not understand this. It really does make you think there is something wrong with your application.

Just saw from the FB group that one US applicant whose app was received Feb 27 has gotten Pre arrival services on May 18. Another US applicant whose app was received April 11 (3 whole months from mine) got SA, Med Req, Bio Req just this past week. I mean seriously way to give someone even more stress and anxiety. :(

Did you pay biometrics fee at the time of application?

I’m right there with you as well. Ugh. The waiting sucks so hard. I also need my spouse to land before August
