Hi,

I got PR thru Alberta nomination program. I was just wondering if i can accept a job in Toronto with no issues or if i should stay in alberta for some time.

Yes u should stay in alberta till u received ur PR Card. After that u can move anywhere in Canada.

If you have not landed yet, you should at the very least land in Alberta and give an Alberta address for your PR card. If you fail to do that and they believe that you do not intend to live in AB, they can cancel your PR visa or report you to AINP to follow up on you to see if you are living in AB or not. To get PR through AINP, you must intend to settle in AB and this must also be true when you land. If you want to play it safe, you should stay in AB for at least a couple of months after you land so in case anybody asks you later, you can say that you tried to settle and were unsuccessful in finding a job.

I landed last oct 10 and got our pr cards. I was able to get better job else where in canda and not in alberta. Hence going by your reply, i feel that i do not have any issues settling in canada other than alberta after i get the PR card.

I have landed about 3wks ago. I havent received my PR Card as yet. I have emergency to travel back to Abidjan. How do i go about that

here's your options

1. call CIC
2. have someone mail the card to Abidjan once it is received
3. apply travel document from nearest canadian consulate/embassy in case without PR card to return to Canada.
