moving to canada

I currently live and Work in Dubai, my wife and my son are with me here, am making plans to send my wife and my son first to Canada for my son to start schooling over there, i will be joining them later as i will not want to leave my job for now, what is the best approach to go with, i need your kind advice.

best approach is you go with them, help them to settle there, housing etc and then come back.

First how old is your son ? He will need a study permit and also a guardian/custodian in Canada given your wife would probably not be able to stay with your son on an extended visitor visa. Also you would need to be prepared to show you can pay international fees of around 15000 CDn per year plus living expenses.

No, your son is not going. You can't just decide to send your family to Canada without following the correct procedure - it simply won't work.

The way to do it is for you to qualify to become a PR through Express Entry, or one of the Provincial Nominee Programs. You may or may not qualify, you'll have to check for yourself. Or get an LMIA and then a work permit.

There is no age limit. However the older you are, the harder it is to be selected.
