Hi Guys,

August outland here. Im trying to get through to IRCC to find out about our application ( lots of people have said their applications were transferred without receiving any information and only found out after ringing up)

Every time we call theres a message that says there are too many people calling and to try again later.

Anyone know if this is just busy or are we calling the wrong number?

I would believe it is the right number.
I also had to call there before and had the same situation, it seems to be crazy busy all the time. I can only recommend calling, calling, calling until you get put in a queue. I was sitting at home all day and called like every 5-10 minutes. With a lot of luck you wont hear that busy message, but get placed in a queue. But you also might not be lucky and just get that message all day.

That should be communicated to you by email. You will not be able to know if it will pass 12 months or not just with that information.

It took me multiple tries and eventually 40minutes on hold when I did get through. That seems pretty normal for others too. It’s just that busy!

If you have received any communication from IRCC (email updates or document requests) your processing location is at the bottom of the letters, which is another way to know where your file is.
