Hi there,

I just received my results for the second time sitting the English exam.

I got 11,12, 11 and a 8 in writing. I need my writing to be a 9.

I have done the exam once before with similar scores and paid for the re evaluation but the score remained the same.

I have once again paid for the re evaluation as I believe my writing was much better than my first exam. English is my first and only language and I did not study for the first exam, yet I did for the second and took the full time for the writing component, carefully structuring my responses and triple checking my grammar and spelling ect.

I am so anxious and shaking !!!

So my question is, is there an option to pay for the express rating on the re-evaluation.. I have emailed and am awaiting a response.

What are the chances the score will improve?

Hey,
I’m assuming you got your results by now. How did it go?

Hi there, yes I received my re-evaluation and it was changed to a 9. There was no way to fast track the re evaluation process. So I had to wait the two weeks.

I received my invite the following day and have submitted my application. The stressing over an English exam only feels like a dream now.

So all is well!
Good luck to you

I was quite confident. English is my first language and I studied a lot prior to the exam.

Are you in a similar situation?
English is practically my first language. I studied in English my whole life and it’s the language that I use on a daily basis in my life. But I do speak other languages too.

As for how confident I am about what I wrote, I am starting to doubt myself to be honest. They obviously didn’t give me an 8 for no reason...

I sat the exam twice. Both with an 8 in writing and the first re evaluation came through the same and the second went to a 9.

The first one deserved an 8, I rushed it and didn’t take it seriously. My answers were not concise at all.

I still recommend doing the re evaluation and see how you go. If not I would re sit the exam and watch a bunch of YouTube videos about how to answer the writing components.

Wish you well! I know how stressful it can be.

Hopefully it doesn’t come down to that. I’m really tired of retaking tests, despite the fact that this is my first CELPIP attempt.

Anyway, that’s a ton for sharing your experience!

I have already done for my revaluation in speaking but my score was not improved. Can I go for revaluation for the second time for the same part? If yes is there any chances of improvement?
