OK. In my case, my husband never ever get any EAD's or work permits as his case was moved so fast and failed after appealing so many times. USCIS never issued any EAD's to him from day 1. We just have letters stating that he filled for asylum like so many letters BUT not any card or anything. So not sure will these letters work or not. His record is clear though he dont have tickets or any unacceptable activity or police record here in USA.
They never asked for EADs but those USCIS application along with an LOE should be sufficient if needed.

Ok thanks. You bring a big hope.

Another concern is about the landing papers or visa?? My husband has indian valid passport but no visa anytime was issued on it. do we have to submit those things too?

That would not be a problem. To put your mind a little a ease my wife didn’t had any visa as well. Feel free to message me.

Hello all,
I have a few questions regarding the police certificate as one of the required documents for the PR application.

1. It is required for all the family members (including kids under age 18) or just for grown.

2. Is there an expiration date for the police certificate (for example, if someone got the police certificate today, and then he applies for the PR after two months, is the police certificate still accepted by IRCC or he has to do it again).

3. What is the best way to do the police certificate while I am in the US? By mail or online according to your experience.

4. When I download the fingerprint form of the police certificate. Should I have to do the fingerprint by myself or there is an official office that I have to go and do it there.

5. How much the fees for the fingerprint for each person.

6. For family, each individual person has to do the police certificate individually, or the family can apply and send it as one package.

Thank you in advance,

Hello all,

Not sure about this , but I assume only adult would be subject for the police clearance.

2. Is there an expiration date for the police certificate (for example, if someone got the police certificate today, and then he applies for the PR after two months, is the police certificate still accepted by IRCC or he has to do it again).

Yes , there is an expiration date - for FBI check it’s 6 months , for police clearance certificate from your own country - 1 year

3. What is the best way to do the police certificate while I am in the US? By mail or online according to your experience.

Do it online , took me 2 days

4. When I download the fingerprint form of the police certificate. Should I have to do the fingerprint by myself or there is an official office that I have to go and do it there.

Some people do it in themselves, I don’t recommend you so, better go to any of the police department offices and they will take it for you ( I paid like 10$ per each fingerprint card )

5. How much the fees for the fingerprint for each person.

you mean to take it or the FBI fee ? The fingerprints itself depend on where you take them - yourself or at the police office. The FBI fee was something around 18$ per a person if I remember correctly

6. For family, each individual person has to do the police certificate individually, or the family can apply and send it as one package.

In my case we did it individually.

Thank you in advance,

Yes, received ITA almost right away, applied for PR a few weeks ago. When creating EE profile they don’t really ask your status in US or anything, but be ready to explain all that when will be applying for PR, I’m waiting now and nervous about what they gonna s

I think your question should be in a different branch , since you are trying to get needed points first . If you also have asylum case pending in the US, it’s not a problem and not gonna affect your chance for PNP program
