Is IT noc still in-demand?
It was couple of years ago when most of the people was not that much aware of EE and when there was no Trump.. now Canada is getting IT folks in large numbers from USA as well as other countries. If you see the last year stats released by CIC, IT folks got highest number of invitations.. hence Ontario is also not targeting IT NOC's anymore and just having general draws with high CRS or job offer.

I am in the same boat too. My NOC is 2173. I am in the pool for around a year now. Earlier, I was stuck at CRS 389 (CLB8) and worked really hard to clear IELTS to increase my chances of OINP and recently got the sweet spot of CLB 9 boosting my CRS to 428. But since then, no OINP draws. :(
I am also interested to know if OINP gives IT jobs specific draws? Experts, please comment.
Read my response to Lena to get an answer for your query.. and FYI , the only one and last ICT draw was in July 2017, where they picked folks with scores as low as 350.. that year the federal draw itself went to all time low of 413 and only some 38k people in the pool..But now pool size is 1 lakh + and also there will be around ~5k ICT people in the score range 430 to 440 easily..hence Ontario moved to general HCP with high cut off (just below federal) or only job offer to filter the candidates..

Need some clarification guys!! I am currently working in Canada completing 1 year in July. CRS score is 400 (does not include 50 points for offer letter). What is the exact policy on jobs offer points? When can I get those 50 points? Is it after completing a year in Canada?

Thanks in advance for the help!
If it's lmia approved, you can claim 50 points.. else nil..
But you can get points for Canadian experience after one year..

ICT is not considered as job offer as there was no lmia. But once you complete 1 year on ICT in Canada, you will be eligible to claim Canadian experience points.. if you mention yes for that question, it might be considered as misrepresentation and may lead to a ban. So please do some more research on that and fill your application..
Thanks for the information. we shall not mention about the job offer then. Meanwhile, the company has agreed to apply for LMIA but I'm not sure how long that's gonna take. Any idea? They said it would take 2-3 weeks.

My CRS is 367, Education: Masters from USA, NOC: 2174 Any chances for Ontario PNP?
do you have job offer from Ontario or minimum requirement for French language ? If you have any of them you might get ITA from Ontario, because last year they issued ITA to them who has those.

OINP might be waiting to see the federal cutoff come down to 440s so that they can go below 9 points from there to issue the NOIs under HCP stream. The reason maybe, people with 441 or more may wait and see to get a direct ITA rather than accepting the OINP NOI.

We may expect something this month after the federal draw on 4/17 or 4/24 ... However, they are not in a rush to fill in their quota this year
OINP has notice on their website about scheduled maintenance from 12th to 15th April. Do you think they might be going to issue NOIs, is the reason for this maintenance?

Is there any possibility of getting a job when you are residing outside Canada? I heard that Canadian employers offer job only for Canadian PRs and Citizens. If there is a possibility kindly share resources.

Yes its very difficult, unless you have a skillset which is in very high demand in Canada.
You can always try, worth mentioning that even after becoming PR/or Citizen securing a job doesn't become much easier.

Hello guys, I'm planning to apply for OINP, but need some clarification about additional documents required from the employer to verify application criteria such as:
  • Copy of deed to the property, which shows the employer as owner.
  • The financial statement for the most recently completed fiscal year, signed by a chartered professional accountant (CPA)
  • Financial statements for the past three years, signed by a chartered professional accountant (CPA) prior to the application submission date.
Please give some advice, I'm working in a well known Canadian company for internet service provider

Are they still required even if the company is well known in business?

Hello friends
My profile has been in the EE pool for a year with 406 points.
This march my crs came down to 398. I have 6+ years of experience as a software developer.
Please suggest if there is any benefit to apply for PNP without any notification of interest/NOI
