Guys what does it mean for the ghost update that changed the background check to "your application is in progress, we will let you know when we start your background check"

Hey unfortunately my biometrics is still not updated . I wrote a lot of emails to New Delhi visa office and 2 days back I got a reply from them asking me to send screenshot of the biometrics acknowledgment sticker. Hopefully next week I will get some update.

Which country r u from and how long it’s been since u submitted your biometrics?

Sir, I am from India. It's been almost a week since I gave biometrics. I can see the biometrics number reflected in the profile but showing as completed yet. Can you give me the email address to which I have to send a query in new Delhi office, in case this gets delayed more.

Actually if your biometrics details are reflecting on your profile you don’t have to worry. A lot of people had same issue and the fact that you can see your details in your profile means your biometrics have been processed. In my case biometrics are not processed yet and that’s the reason the details are not reflecting in my profile. Anyways you can write an email and see what they have to reply.

In a general note the other people who didn't have their status as biometrics completed. How many days did it take or is there any reason why that happens to few applications. If you have an idea please tell me. I know now, all I have to do is wait with patience.

There are people who got their updates in a week to ten days and there are other who waited for more than two months. I don’t know the reason why it is taking more time for some applications but hopefully once I get reply from New Delhi visa office , will get some idea as to what happened exactly.
Worst part about the biometrics not getting processed on time is your application remains stuck in CIO and doesn’t move. As you rightly said there is nothing much we can do but to wait patiently.

How much more time it will take according to this speed calls?

For the IELTS (and TEF) I just included information in the application fields - no uploads. For the ECA, I actually did attach it (put degree, transcript, and ECA together in a file).

My AoR was 7th Feb and I got my MEP and biometric request on 22nd March - along with an additional documents request (this was for PCCs that required specific letters from the IRCC).

Review of additional documents We do not need additional documents.
Interview You do not need an interview. We will send you a message if this changes.
Biometrics We have not received your fingerprints. Check your biometrics request message below for details.
