I'm currently looking to study in Canada. A friend of mine has told me that he had applied and succeeded in obtaining his Study Permit with the help of his father and two friends (not blood related) as financial guarantors.
Is it truly possible to have non-blood-relative financial guarantors?
So far, I've found this document stating the obligation of showing proof of relationship such as birth certificate or family booklet. Still my friend insists that he got help from two financial guarantors that aren't related to him whatsoever.
One last point, my friend started studying in January 2019 in Quebec. I've found this document: Declaration of financial support that doesn't ask if the guarantor is blood related or not. However it seems like this document is only available for Quebec?
