My visitor visa is rejected :( this morning because of the purpose of the visit. Actuaully, I,m applying for an exploratory visit under the Regional Pilot Entrepreneur Immigration Program and this visit is mandatory by the immigration administration of British Columbia. What can I do????
Sorry to hear that but interested to know what documents you presented in application as a support ? what Compelling Reason you mentioned in your Letter of Interest to support your purpose of visit and more importantly how did you convince visa office that you will leave country after visit? what about your travel history?

Regards
HATIKA

Did you check the average processing times? If you have been waiting longer than the processing times you can send them a request.
Thank you
The processing time is 13 days as of now. I think I am going to send them a web form inquiry today.

Unless the travel is urgent, it is advisable to wait for a 1-2 weeks before sending a web form
It is not urgent I can say. But i already booked the tickets because of the prices. And as long as I know they don't consider this as an emergency.
What I don't understand is why the online application really takes longer than Paper application.

Quite honestly, the visa office will not consider the tickets as a reason to expedite a decision.

The general advice is to NOT book tickets before visas are issued because visa decisions can be given well after the flight dates have passed

I agree with you. As long as I see almost all the online application from new delhi taking really longer than usual. What could be the reason i really do not understand.

Any reason:
High volume of applications

Local holidays

Background checks or similar checks that won't show up as background checks, etc etc

In all fairness, there's no delay in your case if it has been just 13 days since you applied

Bryanna, I would like to ask you a question if you don't mind. Do visa offices work all day? Is it possible to get a response in the evening or later in the day?

It's always 5 o'clock somewhere in the world :)

On a serious note:
No, visa offices don't work all day. Typically 8am to 4pm in most offices.

It is possible to get a response at any time if:
1. You applied online = Any global visa office could be processing your application (hence, the reference to 'It's always 5 o'clock somewhere')

2. It could take up to 24 hours for the update keyed in by a visa staff to reflect in your account
