My work permit expired on Feb 28.

My application for BOWP was approved last Thursday. I had a notification on Thursday but the actual message was shown today
AOR January 15 Approved April 18th!
From my understanding, it takes approximately 90+ days for approval.
In some cases when the applicant has other people depending on him, it may take less time.
I live in Vancouver, I will let you know when I receive the work permit in my mail Box.

Sorry this is out of the conversation topic.Banks don't need your SIN when you're applying for loans/mortgage. I never give my SIN out

If you dont have a permanent status in this country you definitely have to give your SIN to get a mortgage or a loan. Otherwise you can just dream about it Mr Nino-in-Canada

A “SIN is not required to conduct a credit check.”
“There is no legislative requirement for the SIN to be collected for [mortgage purposes].”
“The Office of the Privacy Commissioner is of the view that the SIN should not be used as a general identifier and organizations should restrict the collection, use and disclosure of the SIN to legislated purposes only.”
“We recommend that no private sector organization request the social insurance number from a customer, and that no customer give the social insurance number to a private-sector organization, unless the organization is required by law to request it.”
