Oh and they thought he was out of status? But has he had valid status throughout? Not implied?

Yes 1 person waited 5 months and another waited 3 and they were under implied status though.
No he was in status, not implied.
5 month in total ? Or 5 month to get their application fixed ?

I called today! And what I was afraid of was true they mistakenly have thought my husband was out of status and did not process the owp!
We are so frustrated! They have made a mistake and we have to pay for it.
The agent said that she left a note for the officer but it may take 1 month to get back to us!
Unbelievable!
I saw someone in November thread had the same situation! It’s like the new norm for them!
I'm the November applicant and once they realized it was a mistake for my husband we got the OWP about a week later...received in the mail yesterday. We did send a webform as well with his plane ticket landing in Canada, his visa extension as well to show that he was in status.

Do you check ECAS ??
Can you share what date ECAS says your file started processing??
It’s doesn’t show on ECAS. I called and got this information from electronic message. Wait till the end of the message and they say the background has started.

I just wonder the date of your file started processing on ECAS.
My application also received on Dec.5th.
Would you able to share the date if you know?
