I heard someone sent the copy as well, and they just got their PR. Not sure if they sent a certified copy or just a simple one.
Certified copy of the translation --> the document that they give you with the stamps and/or seals.

Talking about another kind of document, not the translation one, because I already explained about it.

For example, for Mexico, for birth certificate or any other official document:

Mexico – Instruction(s) for documents

  • Official documents issued by this country must be government-certified true copies (copies certified as authentic by the issuing governmental authority, signed and sealed).
The government cannot obviously give you "the original" birth certificate because they keep it, they never give it to you, you always have to ask for "copies", but there are two different kind of copies, the ones that you can print online and the ones that you have to go to the civil registry office to ask for "government-certified true copies" which must be signed and sealed/stamped.

Hi guys, I'm planning to send my app next week. Just want to use the weekend to go thru everything again, and make sure there's no mistakes.
One question: did you send the original translations + certified copy of the original, or just certified copies of everything?
The guide is not specific about this.
We sent a certified copy of the original as that was the country specific requirements

Hi! I would like to ask once they received the document, do they send you an email confirmation or the receipt date was based on Canada Post update? I sent my application and Canada Post updated us but no emails from receiving party.

From the canada post update. IRCC do not send any email until they start processing the application, which is the AOR.

Hi everybody, I changed the formula in my cell -No. of days since received, in the spreadsheet because I think we do not have the correct one, we have to count net work days (without weekends), as Inland January did it in their spreadsheet. If you want to do it too, you just have to copy the formula and paste it. "Why has CIC switched from business days to calendar days to communicate its service standards? We have switched from business days to calendar days so that service standards are clear and easy to understand. Calendar days are more meaningful. Now, you do not need to account for public holidays or weekends when looking at service standards. Also, using calendar days makes it easier for us to plan and track its processes fairly and transparently." http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=540&top=13

I am sorry, I was typing on my phone and I didn’t see that my question is missing. “I read in different threads in this forum that they used that formula to skip the weekends and holidays, but CIC switched to calendar days and it’s contradictory because they say that we don’t have to account for public holidays and weekends, but they also talk about calendar days, then?”

Firstly, I am not sure if you mean that "you" translated the documents because for sure migration will not accept it. You can read it in the complete guide: "Important information: Translations must not be done by the applicants themselves nor by an applicant’s parent, guardian, sibling, spouse, common-law partner, conjugal partner, grandparent, child, aunt, uncle, niece, nephew or first cousin." Secondly, the certified translation document has to be sent exactly as the translator gave it to you, because it is the certified translation. Thirdly, it depends on your country requirements, but sometimes they ask for original (the original copy that the government gave you of your document) and certified documents, not copies that you can print online. This is what you can read in the complete guide, also, before sending my application, I hired a lawyer to review my package and he told me what it is required to send to migration office.

Hi Kits,
No i didn't do it by myself, I meant I requested an official translation that was stamped and signed, I scanned it and made a copy and sent it with the package. I did that before with my previous visa applications and it was accepted. my country does not have any specific requirement though so i will keep you updated if we hear from immigration.
