Oct 19th AOR. Indeed i am doing the very same thing like you. Never in my life have i been so impatient and nervous :(
I was scared I might get stuck in SS being from Pakistan and all but when I got to know that my eligibility wasn't started even after 4 months that just killed me :(
that's not fair tbh.. how can they say some applications are complicated that's why they take more than six months when they haven't even started the most critical check after 4 months.. and they're giving out PPR to some people in 2-3 months..

Really don't understand how they can keep some files lying around in dust for months while they send PPR to files that were sent in later.
I guess it works like this: the officers are checking new applications and choose the least suspicious to perform some minimal checks and give them PPR directly. Think about it, just imagine that you have hundreds of small tasks in your job with deadlines that are really far away from the current date. What would you take first?

It's just fine in my opinion. It's said that the regular processing time is 6 months, so I do not understand why people start calling CIC before their six months expire. C'mon, you're given the opportunity to move to an outstanding country, just be patient and wait for 6 months if it is said that you are to wait for this period of time.

For those who got to know their application is approved from a CIC agent, can you please tell the exact question you asked ? I somehow feel I cannot get them to look into my file and tell me what's happening.
I asked about my eligibilty and background check. The agent responded that the application has been approved so all areas have been passed.
