Hello All,

My AOR is 19 October 2018. But have not yet received the PPR request. Background check shows "We are processing your background check". Background check status updated on 21 March 2019. I am a bit nervous regarding my situation as I am 10 days away from completing the 6 months mark. Can anyone help me as to when can I expect the PPR.
I am in the same boat. AOR October 18th ! We have to wait till the 6 months mark and then we can complain to CIC ! This is what my consultant told me !

Hello guys, I have two questions.
1. When you call cic, what do you ask for? I called today and lady told me that everything looks good and they are still processing my backgroudn check. I didn’t know what else ask.
2. I’m aor oct 9. I have planned vacation outside of canada for beggining of May. Can I travel even if my application hasn’t been approved yet? I still have valid visa.

AOR 12 Oct

Haven't received any update, but when checking my account I noticed: application update. Opened my application there was no update. Is this a ghost update?

Hello all, I submitted my application on Oct 1st 2018 and got AOR on the same day. I am CEC inland. Just phoned CIC today and I was told my application was approved on Feb 25th, 2019 but I need to wait for a Visa Office to schedule an interview for me. If I don't hear from them by the beginning of June, I can call them back and get an update. Anyone here heard about interview before? What is purpose for the interview and what kind of questions I will get? thanks!

I am in the same situation.. I guess CIC do landing interview for inland CEC applicants... I have been searching the forum, it seems like interview is just a part of process, doesnt mean anything negative.

Mine was approved on Feb 20, no news ever since. My understanding is that scheduling interview could take longer than getting PPR...

My visa office is Vancouver and I read it could take upto 3 Months to schedyle interview at Vancouver office.. which is frustrating!!

But good part is that you get PR on site after interview.. no need for flagpole

I am inland PNP applicant. AOR sept 3,2018. As per gcms notes received on march 12 my status is below.
Eligibility- RR for pof
criminality,medicals - passed
security not started

I have raised cse to check any movement on file 2 days back and received below email. Is this something positive in movement or a generic reply.

Thanks my friend. I searched the forum and found out interview is a new process at CIC. Do you think if VO can fail you during the interview and reject the application? I am so frustrated.
The agent also told me to call them back if nothing is updated by the end of May which is 3 months from the date on which my application is approved.
