Got pre arrivals email today! Yay! A day before my wife and I are flying back to India for a quick visit and then back to Canada. Can she submit passport for stamping here in Canada ? She has a tourist visa currently.
Congratulations! Was your file transferred to Delhi? If yes, then what date was it transferred?

There is no logic on these things... I am in touch with a couple from Brazil and their process is already at the 12-month mark. I know that IRCC changed things a couple years ago. By then my application would have been processed in Sao Paulo, not in Mexico.
Prepare for the 12 month mark and hope for the best... is the best advice I can offer right now
BTW, my application is at Mexico VO for 4 months now... and so far, nooo updates (despite the AOR2).

Ours has yet to even be transferred to Mexico. Almost a month since meds passed... 0 action. No AOR2. Call to IRCC says it is 'marked' to go to Mexico City VO, though.
Agree with your statement, prepare for 12 month mark, hope for the best. I read some take up to 5 months since initial AOR to be transferred to Mexico VO.... why is it so dreadfully slow there?

I know I'm still within the timeline but it's frustrating to see people applied after me already landed in Canada, our file is definitely one of the simplest one and the bgc hasn't even started is making me worried if they'll be able to complete within 12 months, this distance and wait is affecting the relationship as well :(

Same situation here. So frustrating! I see some ARRANGED marriages who applied later who are getting sped through quicker.

We are expecting our first baby, yet likely husband won't make it here in time. Very good proof of genuine relationship, seemingly easy case. We were denied a simple visitor visa before we even found out we were expecting. I will be taking her back to Costa Rica with me when she is born.

A lot can depend on the officers and the respective Visa Offices. It is certainly not fair nor first come first serve as some speculate. Easy to resent this process when it does not always seem fair or appears geographically discriminatory. Seems easier for illegals walking across at Roxam Road who are awarded with hotel stays, the RCMP even take their bags for them! o_O

Aww that's so sad! I just received gcms notes and literally not one single happened from August-january in Mississauga! Nothing!!!!! The file kept transferring from here to there numerous times with no notes no updates, I married my 10 years long bf and webproviwe more than enough proof of relationship, our file was simple! All fees paid, everything in order, and yet nothing happened since August! The gcms notes made me angry and more frustrated! 51 page document with no use for! I hope your husband gets the approval before the baby arrives! Congratulations btw :)

Hi Guys need help please.

My wife got ppr, now question is she got 2 passport. old one is cancelled as she made changes to birthplace and added my name. Now does she has to submit both old canceled passport or just new one.

Your update would be much appreciated.

You local VFS should be able to answer that. Take both in case they need them.
