Entering Canada through US land border with COPR only.

Has anyone recently entered Canada via the US land border without PR Card, with only the COPR? I am going to do a soft landing in May but will need to leave Canada and return to the US before PR card arrives. I plan to cross over to Canada by road from US to collect my PR card once it arrives. Does that creates any problems?

It should be no problem if you are crossing in a private vehicle at a land border.

I am planning to travel outside Canada, while i am still waiting on my PR card. I will be re-entering Canada from Canada-US land border in a private vehicle
Could you please confirm to me if you were able to enter back to Canada from US with COPR & passport.
