Check CIC's website for whether or not Indian citizens/residents need to submit biometric data. If you haven't been asked yet, you might not need to. I got a message on my EE profile giving me 30 days from the receipt of the message to submit fingerprints and stuff.
What’s is ur aor. And r u FSW from india.

Guys mine aor was Dec 5. Someone said I have to give biometric but I don’t got any mail. Express entry applied from india in fsw. Any light on this
Not required for Indians residing in India if applied before 31st Dec. check your application if you required biometrics you would have had to pay upfront like we did for us.

Hey!

Well, I've seen other Pakistanis in immigration trackers already got their PPR. I don't want to get your hopes high but you never know? (6 got theirs from November 18 to December 23)! Hope it will come to you as well! Donnu what ghost updates mean exactly either.

I've been observing this immigration tracker table and it just occurred to me, that processing centres (depending on which one it is) might have special agents each charged of a special region of the world. This is why there is this trend to have people from some countries getting PPRs faster than others. I say that because I remember that we did have such a system back when I was working in my home country with the government in a central agency. I was charged with the files a region and my colleagues had other ones. This facilitates the work because then you are familiar with the patterns of a particular place and it's easier to work this way. It's not on a first come first served basis but rather files with similar patterns stand in the same lane for the same agent. Now when there is an urgent file or the workload is considerably imbalanced, it's another story, the manager sees who has less workload and can add some files to him regardless of what region it comes from.

It's just a theory.

Hope the best for all!

And congrats USprogrammer and all people with their files moving!

My application status on the home page chaged briefly to Application Updated but none of the details had changed. I didn't get any messages or emails regarding any updates either. When I logged out and logged back in, the status was back to "Submitted". Im familiar with what ghost updates are but not really too well informed on their significance so I'd appreciate it if someone more knowledgeable could offer any insights as to what, if anything, this could possibly mean. Relevant details:

AOR - Dec 12
MEP - Jan 22
Biometrics done - Jan 23
Stream FSW-O

One thing that strikes me as unusual is that in my experience, applications from Pakistan, like mine, usually take their sweet time to be processed (we're talking 10-15 months as opposed to the usual 3-5 months) due to stricter security checks so I don't want to get my hopes up over nothing. There's also the possibility of PPR potentially conflicting with another visa application (to Switzerland, so long ass procedure) that needs to be dealt with before August since it's for a postgrad program starting in September, so this may not necessarily be the most convenient time for PPR.

I checked at 22.00 ET and there was nothing at that time. 6-7 hours later after you guys shared ghost updates I wanted to check again and see that application updated. Do they make progress after working hours???

By the way as I shared before I was on TB screening and my medicals were on review. Now It turned to PASSED. Thankfully. @g90

So it was an update for MEP, It wasnt a ghost update for me right?

There's another PPR rain for October folks, this supports the theory of 5 months from AOR to PPR for majority.

Congrats to those who have received ghost updates. Keep us updated

I have a feeling that 'newbie' members can't add hyperlinks or URLs to their signatures. After a 'newbie' has posted a certain number of posts, they will be upgraded to a 'member' or 'full member' and that apparently unlocks the ability to add hyperlinks. @USProgrammer

I suggest 'newbie' folks simply copy and paste the URL of their MyImmiTracker profile until they're able to add a hyperlink.

@USProgrammer I’ve tryed to fix. Let’s see if it works. Anyways you can find it below:

Glad you've passed your medicals! The update would have been for your MEP, though if you received an email right after it's for your (real) IP1.

Correct, it was an update to your account for MEP and not a ghost update. With ghost update, nothing changes on your application except the status of your application. Happy that your MEP is PASSED after long hurdle...
