Query related to POF

I have a query related to POF. I have submitted my application on Dec 1st 2018, and for POF I have submitted them as Fixed Deposits. I submitted a letter from my Bank stating the amount of FD and it can be en-cashed any point of time and FD receipt.

However I didn't mention about source of money in LOE nor did I submit my bank statements.

Will this cause any issue?

One of the requirement of Proof of Funds for the e-APR states that:
  • "List all bank (chequing and savings) and investment accounts, the account numbers, dates each account was opened and the balance of each account over the past six months,"
The Agent reviewing your case needs to know that the funds have been maintained for 6 months, otherwise he may be concerned that you borrowed these funds from someone and opened an FD with the sole purpose of providing this documentation. And once this purpose was served, you may have returned this amount.
Hence, perhaps it may be worthwhile for you to show that:
1. The source of funds are your own (Where did the funds for the FD come from?)
2. you have maintained these for at least 6 months
It has been over 3 months since you applied. So have you applied for GCMS notes to check the status of your application?
If not, do so. This way you'll know if the assessing agent has any specific concerns and you could then address them specifically with a Case Specific Enquiry/ IRCC Web Form.

As stated above, if the letter states the start of the deposit to be six months before your eAPR then you dont need to worry for now about proving the source of the funds. The IRCC agent may randomly ask applicants to provide a proof of source.

you don't need to worry, also in case there is an issue, they will ask for an explanation/ updated document.

What should I explain it like, I got some of the money from my mothers account. Should I get a Gift Deed for the same or just an explanation should be sufficient ?

Gift deed, you should have submitted the same at the time of AOR itself
