Thank you for your inquiry regarding the status of your file as a Skilled Worker in Quebec.

Admissions to Canada under the Quebec Skilled Worker Program are determined annually by the Government of Quebec based on immigration volumes in its immigration plan. In this context, the number of files processed each year corresponds to the number of arrivals in Canada forecast in the Plan annuel d’immigration du Québec.

We anticipate being able to finalize your application within the next six months.

We trust this information is of assistance to you.

Kind Regards,

They replied this to my inquiry about application status

What does this mean???
Farhanali123 I wonder why people ask for the status of the application knowing that processing time is 19-20 months? If let us say you did not receive AOR or medical request after expected time it is good to ask, but after getting everything it is red flag to ask about the status of the application before expected processing time, I was told by immigration officer on the phone, do not know if it is correct.

In regards to your second point... I think you have confused him as starting a new sentence when in fact it was just a decimal point.. See below

"The plan for this year (2019) is to issue PRs to 18k-20.1k applicants with CSQ under QSW"

is that helpful?
Oh yes indeed. How did I miss it? Thank you for pointing out hoppi10 :)

I had a similar answer a month ago, only the skill November 2017 was indicated))). This is their standard reply. This means that you need to wait and wait ...

Out of curiosity to the ones that applied prior to the biometrics system taking place. Did they contact you requesting for you to do them yet? My application is still sitting at "we do not need your fingerprints. We will send you a message if this changes"

Hi Jimk

Well as you may be aware that the current processing time is 20 months. So lets say your application is filed on October 1st 2017 then in that case your 20 months get over on May 31st 2019. My suggestion is now do not contact them till you complete at least 21 months of your processing time. And if on the date you complete 20 months you see the processing time has increased to 21 or 22 months then extend your date further by those many months and wait again till you exceed the processing time given and an additional month.

Just for your information, I am an applicant from May 8th 2017 and they haven't yet reached till me. Currently they are processing applications from February and March 2017. Just one application from July 2017 was surprisingly processed recently. Anyway so the bottom line is you, I and many other applicants like us who have filed since March 2017 are still required to wait in line. All the best!

Same here. As per my knowledge our fingerprints will not be required.

I agree with you niko80. Communicating with the visa office after all the formalities is okay only once the application exceeds the processing time. In fact as observed in many cases it takes at least around 2 1/2 months beyond the official processing time to actually process a CSQ application. However the current situation is even strange then the regular situation. Currently they are rarely processing the applications. Just recently since the past 10 odd days applicants are seeing some movement from various visa offices around the world.

Hi Ghostrider0789

Relax friend. Their communication to you clearly states that they have received your application. The next line states that your application will be processed according to the date it was received. So on one side you are assured that your application is received. The only delay as per my knowledge is probably because of the surge in the applications received. Give them some more time before you receive your AOR.

Hi

You are welcome. Well they might not really request for immediate remedicals. But they will request for the remedicals for sure. See each file goes through a monthly cycle. And on that day the visa officer takes the necessary action. Once whatever required action is taken the next follow up date for our application is put up and our application is then opened on that date, not before that. So nothing happens to our file before that date. One more thing, it is not necessary that some change has to happen on the date the file is opened for review. Sometimes nothing may really happen on a review date and just the next date is put up for a file. So, wait. In case, unfortunately your medicals expire they will ask you to do remedicals on a certain date in the future.
