Hello,

I just heard back that I need further medical information -- a psychiatrist's report. Has anyone had any experience with this? Any tips? Insights? Opinions?

Yes, I remember a couple people on this forum saying the same, but I can't quite remember the details - have you tried searching? You may be able to pull something up.

If they sent you to see a Psychiatrist is because they have a concern with you medical exam.
You have to be very careful when you'll see the Psychiatrist. He could ask you some questions to see if you have any mental illness. You have to be careful with your answers.

It generally happens when there is any history of mental illness, depression, serious anxiety etc. The purpose is to ensure that you do not have a condition that will make you a danger to the public of Canada.

OP has to be honest, not careful. As long as they are not a danger to others, there will be no reason for refusal.

Hey how did you asnwer the statutory question: Do you have any serious illness or mental or physical disorder? Did you answer yes to it?

I am currently taking an antidepressant for depression. I disclosed it to the panel physician. However, I am confused whether I should answer yes to that question.

Hello,
Can someone please help me out here!
I am from Vancouver, BC and I was wondering if any of you have seen a psychiatrist for Immigration purposes down here in British Columbia. Can someone please provide me a name.
Since it is supposed to be billed directly to us and not covered by insurance, I am having troubles finding a private pay psychiatrist.

Would look at the college of physicians of BC. There should be a way to search for the list of psychiatrists practicing in your area. Would start by contacting all of them. There are long wait times to see psychiatrist so yes many will not be interested in taking any private billing but you should be able to find at least one.
