The letter from Sydney is just to notify you that it's been transferred. The AOR2 is the letter that Mexico sends acknowledging that they have received your application. My letter is dated March 6th but my ECAS is showing processing started on March 1st.
It's confusing because I thought the line 2 in ECAS was AOR2.
My background check still hasn't started though.
Check your progress bar haha :) I’m kidding
Thanks for clarifying . Well I got the transfer letter and now I shall wait . I always thought the second line was AOR2 as well , we don’t have that either :) we also are still in eligibility and background not started .
Keep me posted and I will do the same

We're hitting our 6 month mark soon. I'm worried because it doesn't show on GCkey or ECAS that medicals have been passed. It's been 6 days since we did the medical exam and still no update. Our lawyer told us that it shouldn't take more than 8 months for the whole processing to be complete and speaking with a lot of other people who have completed their process, they got their PPR within 7 months. Apparently SGVO is pretty efficient but they are thorough when doing the background check. I guess now it depends on our luck on how much longer it'll take.
Same here. Our local viso office takes 6 months on average with other apps, we are on month 6 now and the receptionist at the visa office told me that my application will be handed to the officer only once my medicals are passed. I have no idea what the officer is going to start with after my medicals, I sincerely hope that it is not the entire application that is only going to start now. That is not okay since it has been 6 months. But I believe my background check etc. has been in process since it changed to in process in January already. I think the process needs to be more transparent to applicants, it is not okay for applicants to be kept in the dark most of the time. It is stressful enough as it is.

That progress bar cracked me up. Asif anyone did not already know the time that has passed and where the 12 month mark is. They can rather add visibility to the process for applicants in stead of a bar that literally just adds 12 months to the date they received the app. Lol

My wife's PR application was received at the Sydney office on 26-Nov-2018. this email was sent on 22-Jan-2019
SA approval on 22-Jan-2019
Medical Instruction on 22-Jan- 2019
Medical Done on 29-Jan-2019
The file was sent to Mississauga Office on 1-Feb-2019
Got an email on 6-Mar-2019 that progress can be viewed online.
however, I am not able to search the application online. And, of course, not able to link to GCKey account.
what should I do now?
Appreciate your help

I hope this isn't the case. Our GCkey was updated today saying we passed the medical exam. I guess now the real waiting begins if they just start to process the application. I'm hoping it's done within the next couple months. Good luck with your application!

I am still waiting, I have not update since I passed medical exams, on Ecas shows "in progress" and something weird is that we already received email about eligibility but is not updated on Gckeys, I did my medical exams on Jan 22, someone is like me ?

Yeah based on my research though, it takes roughly 2 months between medicals passed and DM for principal applicant. Hoping for the same on our application, as I want to be able to have an answer my the end of April so that I can resign my job and move with my fiance in June (she is going in June to set up). My medicals also showed passed this morning :D Huge relief, not that I was worried, just glad it only took 6 days. I did not check GCKey yesterday so it could have been passed yesterday too, but since it is a weekend it won't make a difference. I just sincerely hope the officer starts with my application this week. Fingers crossed!
