Hi Tobs,

Received my 1st GCMS notes today. AOR: July 20. Family of 4 but spouse not accompanying now. Plz advise.

Not able to copy and paste, as file is in pdf.

Eligibility: Recommended Pass
Funds: Met
Criminality: Pass
Medical: Pass
Security: Not started

Hmm...still not started security.
When i called CIC, they told me that deadline given for my file is March 23. Not sure what this means.
Your notes look good. It's just a matter of time now.
Keep looking out for ghost updates.

Hello People, I need help.

My wife is with me in Nova Scotia on an open work permit. She could not get provincial health insurance because her open work permit was less than a year ( reason was because my initial study permit was just for 6 months because of my expiring passport).

She is currently pregnant and the fees for someone without coverage are high which we cant afford. I have since January 2019 renewed my study permit and have apied for the extension of her work permit so that she can have a one year validity and get and MSI card. But the timeline says it takes up to 6 months to review.

My question is this, can we go to the border to renew her work permit? She is from a visa exempt country. Her current permit is valid till May 2019.

Please your inputs will ne appreciated

Quite a lot of applications are waiting for security to start. Let's just hang in there, hopefully they sort them out this month.

1- even though the processing time online is not very precise, but depending on work permit it takes 2-3 months.

2- Yes, you can under certain circumstances

the information in your notes is at the time you requested.
So that'll be February 1st for your most recent notes.
Thanks @tobs.
So why does it take 30 days to get the gcms notes across? Secondly, what do the two blank pages mean? It says info withheld ‍♀♀♀

Did you receive any updates on your online account regarding background checks? I mean did it show IP2?
Because mine is still in IP1. My AOR is 31st July.

Hi Tobs

Do we always get to see the ghost updates? Because, I hardly log in to my online account after 2-3 days. So, what I mean is, if, I do not log in everyday then is there a chance that we might miss the ghost update when it actually has happened? Please throw some light on this.

Thanks

Quick question to @legalfalcon and other learned members of the community : I just got canadian PR request for passport( March 5th) and my wife is due to give birth to our child in April(April 3rd) in the United States(US). What options do I have.

Options 1: Can I delay the COPR stamping by maybe 2 months until the child is born and he has the passport so that I can add him to the application

Options 2: Can I easily sponsor my child later on for canadian PR even though I may not move to canada for another 2 years.

Thanks in advance!
Just an update for those who may face this situation in future: Sent an email to CIC, they have cancelled my COPR Visa, they have given me 30 days to submit all documents after baby's birth and they will then review my file again and issue new visas for the whole family.
