There is always the possibility of rejection when applying for a visit from a country that is not your permanent residence given you need to show you will leave at the end of your stay.

I applied for a visitor visa from Sydney, Australia and I got it in two weeks even though i was just an international student there. make sure you provide all the documents required including two ways tickets that show when will you be leaving the country, ties to Australia like a letter from the employer that says you're only on a vacation or something like that and of course enough funds for the period of your stay. if you can convince them that you will leave the country afterwards it is worth a try.
