Hi @Bryanna,

How are you doing? I hope you remember my case. My dad's super visa application (principal applicant) and my mom as dependent was submitted online on Dec 30, 2018. My mom's got approved last month and she got her PG1 visa.

However my dad's is still at this status (last update on Jan 18) as follows:

Review of eligibility - We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements.
Review of medical results - We are reviewing the results of your medical exam

Review of additional documents We do not need additional documents.
Interview: You do not need an interview. We will send you a message if this changes.
Biometrics We do not need your fingerprints. We will send you a message if this changes.
Background check Not applicable.
Final decision Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made.

As per your advice, I emailed NDVO with the updated visit dates on Jan 22/23 to NDVO where his application is being processed but haven't got any reply back.

Today my dad received this email from the hospital in Bangalore where their medicals were completed on Nov 17, 2018 (almost 1+month before submission).

Dear Sir,
Please let me know your contact number to call you, its regarding your canada process.
Best Regards

We haven't got any email/mail from NDVO regarding further medical tests or anything but just this note from the hospital after 3 months. They gave some information sheet, diagnostic report after the tests but i dont see any adverse info there.

Have you seen anything like this? No update on gckey as of now regards to the app status.

Thank you.

Maybe your dad should visit the hospital ASAP to find out instead of calling them. It does not seem like a case of medical furtherance because the additional tests would have been requested by now. Not sure if they have lost his reports and want him to redo the medicals (just a guess)

Hi @Bryanna . Thanks for the info, he replied with his number to the email. But I am planning to give them a call and get the answers in writing by email. I am actually suspecting the same as you.

Incase if they ask him to come back because they lost the report or something, he needs to travel 8 hrs to get this test done and he has a different panel physician right near by to him. Can I ask him to go to the one close by - we always had good experience with the one in chennai vs the other.

He chose the Bangalore hospital because he happened to be there visiting family for 2 weeks around the time I asked him to do the tests, sigh my mistake.

Thanks again.

Yes, do call to find out first. You would be able to decide on the next course of action.

Maybe they have lost some part of the report (x-ray, for example).... or maybe they have lost the entire report. Again. just guessing.

If he is unable to travel to Bangalore then he can do the medicals in Chennai. He must then check/confirm with the clinic that they have sent the reports to IRCC

Thanks @Bryanna. I will report back tomorrow what happened with the medicals.

Hi @Bryanna, good morning. I did call the hospital and talked to them, it looks like the doctor had some questions on the medical history of my dad (after 3 months?) - like if he has Diabetes, blood pressure, surgeries, medications taken etc.

My dad recalls filling them in their application form for the tests and answered these to the doctor as well. He said the doctor took his passport number and made a note in a diary.

I asked them to confirm if they have sent the X-rays and other reports to CIC and also check with the doctor if they need any other info. I asked them why the doctor wants this info 3 months after doing the medical when we already gave the information during the appt. No answers yet, all we were told on the phone was they have to check with the doctor and let us know in a day or 2.

Do you think we should just go to another hospital and re-do the medicals plus inform CIC/NDVO regarding this and the updated medical exam info?

Thank you for your help again.

The basic questions about any pre-existing medical conditions were asked when your dad did his medicals. These conditions would have also shown up in the tests. It does not make sense that the doctor has asked these preliminary questions again after three months.

I'm inclined to believe that they have lost your dad's medicals. This has probably become an issue because you had recently asked for their applications to be considered as super visas instead of TRVs. Just a guess though.

I suggest you email the Bangalore visa office asap. Do inform them that the Bangalore hospital contacted you, but there is no clarity about the information they are seeking.

You may also want to confirm with the visa office if they have received the medical reports or if any additional tests are required + whether or not your dad can give new medicals at the Chennai hospital

Hi @Bryanna - Thanks for the info. I will email the VO, but it looks like his application is in NDVO (not bangalore unlike my mom's app). NDVO hasn't responded about to the request about supervisa.
Do I contact my MP as well to find info because NDVO tends to respond to them (from my prev exp) and my MP office is willing to help.
NDVO's automated email says they respond in 15 working days but they dont always do so. Or should I just apply for GCMS as well?

Thanks.

On a side note, I guessed the same and I asked them the same questions - having been through this medical exams thrice so far. But no answers.

You can contact your MP. It might take the MP's office about a week to get the information/status of your dad's application.

I recommend you email both NDVO and the Bangalore visa offices.

As GCMS will take about a month, it won't help in the current situation

@Bryanna - Just to update you on the status of my dad's application. He went in person to the hospital with his medical records and the panel physician examined everything.
The hospital emailed us that they submitted the report to CIC yesterday by email along with an e-medical information sheet (same UMI # as upfront medical) that states
"Your eMedical case has been submitted to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). This information
sheet outlines the immigration health examinations that you have completed." + the list of tests completed.

My MP office contacted CIC today and they informed me that as per CIC, the medical reports were submitted only yesterday and the VO will review and make the final decision. They assured me it won't take that long now.

Do I email the updated UMI information sheet we got from the hospital and send to BLR and NDVO?

Thanks a lot again.

This is unbelievable. If you had not requested to change the visa category to super visa, the hospital would not have sent the medical reports to IRCC. Basically, your dad's efforts would have been wasted. Anyway

You can email the medical information sheet to both NDVO and BLR + request for a confirmation that IRCC has received the medical reports from the hospital

I think your dad might get a decision/PPR in about 7-10 days with these new developments

Hi @Bryanna - I have sent them an email after you mentioned it last month (around 30 days ago) and that is how we got to know from Bangalore office that his file is in NDVO, then we sent the email again to NDVO about the same. But we never received any response from NDVO regarding that email/web form enquiry. His medical status was in review status since Jan 18 anyway.

I will email them again about the medical information.Thank you.

That's alright. Even if you only email BLR, they will forward the email to NDVO.

There were no medical reports to review since January 18 LOL
