Hi team,

Can you please help me with the below queries
1)Do I need to sigh all the loe's?
2) since I got funds from my brother, do I need to highlight those transactions in my bank account statement since I got the money in 5-6 transactions?

Thanks and Regards

@andy.keeling

Any advice on whether a sponsorship from an uncle is desirable for a student visa or not. Also, would you advise for documents required for the visa? I am applying online and the GCKey provide a list of documents that are few. But I read people saying and including other documents with their applications. I am provided with the following document checklist:

1. APPLICATION FORM
Application for Study Permit Made Outside of Canada (IMM1294) (required)

SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS
1. Passport (required)
2. Letter of Acceptance (required)
3. Proof of Means of Financial Support (required)
4. Digital photo (required)
5. Family Information (IMM5645) (required)
OPTIONAL DOCUMENTS
1. Schedule 1 - Application for a Temporary Resident Visa Made Outside Canada (IMM 5257)

I am slightly confused as I do not know what other documents I must include. I also do not see any additional space for uploading additional documents as well. Thoughts, please.

Best wishes,
Mustunsir

Hi Mustunsir. I think you need to upload all additional documents in the "Client Information" tab in checklist. There should be this tab. If not, revist your answers. Also, if applying online its better to go for an upfront medical exam and answer "Yes" to that question in the questionnaire. You will then get option to upload medical exam certificate too.

Hi @andy.keeling
I am applying for a study visa for my program start of Sept 2019. I have some queries regarding proof of funds. I am showing a GIC of 10,000$ for proof of living expenses. To show proof of tuition fees, I am showing one savings account with bal. 80% of tuition fees and one savings account with bal. 50% of tuition fees. Do I need to show one more savings account to show that my family here still has enough funds for their expenses?
Also, is it okay to show a current account of parents business? Or are savings account only preferred?

Hey i dont know about your country but im guessing is almost the same as here in mine.
The agent told me that you should get about 3-4 different savings account (different people), write down a letter saying that they will support you in your trip and a copy of their ID. You must also have the last 4 months of bank statements

Hi,
I am about to apply for study visa under SDS. My uncle is sponsoring for my studies so, he had transferred 50k CAD to my account. My problem is that, I don't have the bank statements of the last 4 months as I opened that account recently. What should I do?

That could be a problem,
i would suggest sending youd uncle's last 3 bank statements with the movements and also yours and writing a letter explaining this so that the officer can see that your uncle did indeed transfered the money to your account.
I would also suggest gettint another 2-3 bank statements from different persons.

what if I pay the complete tuition fee of 2 years and take a GIC of 20000 CAD and keep the remaining for further expensives. Do I need to show the source of funds.

That should suffice. It's always advisable to provide your Father's source of income such as his pay stubs or business details if any. Also, any property on your name will also be beneficial as it strengthens home-times.

Thanks for your help, actually my god mother will give me the money but I want her to transfer it to my father's bank account which he then gives it to me with an affidavit because I heard its better if the money is given by our parents.

Yes, that's true. Get a gift dead in case you want to show the money in your own bank account. Otherwise, just a sponsorship from your father would do.
