You would be working outside of school breaks right, you are indeed violating the study permit obligations. My advice would be to abstain from further breaking the law else the gravity of the situation will be felt. Good luck.

Yes they can refuse your PGWP or PR. Sure some people get caught but I'm sure some people get away with it. As long as the person realizes they are taking the risk...
IRCC isn't stupid. If you have no money in your bank account or cash regularly deposited they will ask how you are able to live in Canada without money. Also people do report illegal workers all the time. If your whole plan is to become a Canadian citizen you have to decide whether working 4 hours a week is really worth it if could lead to a refusal.
In the same vein many people, at least when I was living in the UAE used to overstay on a visit. Just because some people are successful at not being caught does not make it right, nor does it mean that there are any consequences.
Quite a few times the Indian Embassy had done amnesty programs in the UAE and thousands of people take the opportunity. What's the fun in living abroad if you will have to look behind your shoulders every time and live life as a fugitive. Many people are lead by false promises by touts and have their passports confiscated. It blows my mind to see people wanting to break the rules willingly for not a significant amount of money.

There are only so many resources hopefully the fact that they do refuse people deters people. Their friend may get away with it but doesn't mean they will.
I think they are more after people that quit studies entirely and work full.time.

They are after all people who break the rules; you have been warned. Remember, you were granted a visa here to study, not to work. I hope you don't think that breaking the law is a joke. If you want to work, then you must apply for a work permit.
Also to conclude that you must declare your work experience including the illegal work as well in any future visa applications. Failure to do so may result in misrepresentation and a 5 years ban from entering Canada.
