Bryanna - Help Please - Status Update on my parent's application

Hi @Bryanna,

Hope you remember my question on Supervisa thread link.

My mom's passport was submitted on Wednesday in VFS chennai and we got these 3 status updates on the VFS Site:

#1. Visa application, tracking ID No. 20190123XXXXXXX has been dispatched to the OC from VAC , on 2019-01-23 12:41:53 PM GMT Standard Time for processing.
#2. Visa application, tracking ID No. 20190123XXXXXXX has been sent from VAC Bangalore to the IRCC Office on 2019/01/24 (something along these lines).
#3. Visa application, tracking ID No.20190123XXXXXXXXX has been received and is under process at the IRCC Office on 2019/01/24


To my web form enquiry (where I have mentioned my mom's app number& UCI) and mentioned both their info on the description, invite letter etc. and Bangalore immigration replied with the following information last night:

"This is in response to your recent enquiry to the Immigration Section of the Consulate General of Canada in Bengaluru.
The file number you have provided refers to a case at the High Commission of Canada in New Delhi.
To ensure there is no delay in reviewing your email, please send future enquiries to the New Delhi visa office using the web form found on this web page - <Link to webform>"

They also cc-ed DELHI Immigration email id on their reply.

My dad's application is still in progress (no medical pass or passport request yet). Around the same time last night, he got an email with subject "visitor acknowledgement letter" from Delhi Immigration that they have received the application and processing. They have high volume of applicants etc etc...

The status on his application is as follows. These 2 were updated on Jan 18th (and my mom's medical pass was updated with eligibility at the same time).

Review of eligibility - We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements.
Review of medical results - We are reviewing the results of your medical exam

Review of additional documents We do not need additional documents.
Interview: You do not need an interview. We will send you a message if this changes.
Biometrics We do not need your fingerprints. We will send you a message if this changes.
Background check Not applicable.
Final decision Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made.

Now I have some questions, need your suggestion please.

1. Is my mom's passport being processed at New Delhi, India?
2. Do I email Delhi Immigration and also send the web form enquiry with the information I sent to Bangalore office to update my dad's application?
3. Is it safe to book my mom's ticket somewhere for end of Feb?

2. Do I email Delhi Immigration and also send the web form enquiry with the information I sent to Bangalore office to update my dad's application?

Yes, you must do both - NDVO

3. Is it safe to book my mom's ticket somewhere for end of Feb?

Not yet. She will likely get her passport back in about one week. It's advisable to wait

Hi @Bryanna, Thanks for your help. My mom's passport with Visa is in transit - it might take a few days according to bluedart to get it.

I see the document number for the visa E******** but have to wait and see if the sticker is a visitor or super visa one.

NDVO sent us automated responses about our enquiry into my dad's app which is still in progress.

I just wanted to update my mom received her passport Thursday morning IST with Visa Category - PG1/ Visitor

Just waiting to hear back from NDVO about my dad's application and if they updated his file for the travel duration. I will keep you posted.

Just waiting to hear back from NDVO about my dad's application and if they updated his file for the travel duration. I will keep you posted.

Oh I did as soon as you told me. My Mom's was stamped at Bangalore and dad's at NDVO - so we emailed both the VO's to cover our bases.
