Hello Guys,

The frustration is at it's peak as we are almost reaching the 6 month of total processing time since submission. Since last year around the same time until today, CIC has been very slow in terms of processing. Last year my friends have received their approved applications within less than 3 months time frame whereas now we are waiting still.

My application was submitted on August 28th 2018. I live in Canada and mine was under CEC. I have included my wife as a dependent or applicant#2 and she lives in India.

Medical passed very quickly but since then there is nothing has been updated. So not sure what are they doing at this point. Called CIC and they don't have any more updates either. I don't blame the agents as they are not the visa officers. They are just doing their job.

My work permit is expiring in June (5th) 2019 and now I have to apply for a bridging open work permit which is more money to spend. If anyone under CEC facing the same situation or if you can share your situation that would be great. I can't get enough frustrated because "no news is better than bad news".

Thanks for reading.
Was in a similar situation, but I applied and got the BOWP. Took 90 days to get the permit. Now the wait for PR continues.

Thank you for your reply..

They have asked me to Sumit passports in India, Nepal or Ottawa. I am in USA since have started the process and will be here for long now.

Unable to understand if I can send passports out of country (ie India) while in USA or should I send it to VFS located in Los Angeles or New York. Please suggest.
If they have given you the option of sending it to ottawa while you are and were in USA during AOR then you should send it to ottawa. All those who have received PPR staying in USA have mailed out their passports using FedEx/UPS services to ottawa. Please search which courier service to use in the forums as one out of these two have some issues delivering to PO boxes.
But sending passport outside country that is from USA to canada - thats how folks have been doing.

I'm sorry Hg, I don't really understand the situation.
Tobs, thanks mate for weighing in..

here is the situation:
Little background about my work experience:
I was in working in Canada for the period: 2013-04 to 2016-04 and then shifted to USA. My AOR is 06Aug2018. What I see in GCMS notes is, Case Analyst marked my Application as Review Required for A11.2 - EE and his comments are: 3 Year lock period starts from 07AUG2015 and PA has only 9 months of CEC work experience in the lock period, however, PA is claiming points for 3 years of Canadian work experience.

Having said that, at the time of profile creation (2018-02), I was asked whether any I've Canadian experience in the last 3 years, then, I said YES. nevertheless, the Case Analyst comments makes me worried. So, I was not sure, anything I can do with my application now. Any insights?

6 days to go to complete six months, and I just saw a ghost update in my online account! (Status: Application/profile updated)

The weird thing is: After refreshing the page and going back to Account Home, the status is again "Submitted"

Do you think it's because since 9 months is the only valid Canadian experience within the last 3 years (the experience of 2013 to mid Aug 2015 do not count since they fall outside the 3 years rule). the right answer for the Canadian experience during your profile creation should've been No, since the valid months wasn't up to 12 months.

Are you claiming 3 years canadian work experience?
List out the work experience you claimed & submitted reference letters for. Forget what you wrote when you created your profile. What's important is what you wrote post ITA before getting your AOR.

This link here says :

I see the problem here, the profile was created in 2018, February but your AOR was in 2018, August. So, during the time of your AOR, your 3 year time window has pushed to reduce the work experience to 9 months instead of the 1 years and 2 months you had when you made the profile in February.
Raising a CSE with a LOE about what happened is the only way I can think of to explain the decrease in CEC work experience time period.

Maybe @tobs can suggest further?

This helps me understand better.
So it's basically August 2015 to April 2016 that's being considered?
Hmmm...
That's actually 9 months. The analyst is right in this case.
What's the applicants CRS score without the Canadian experience points?
