I’m a truck driver, sorry I don’t use whatsapp
Hi the Norms,
I have applied for PR under Aipp, 4 months now everything done biometrics, med passed. We are still in the uk.
House on the market and looking to move to New Brunswick as a Truck driver. On my Gkey just waiting for
Background checks in progress. Had our settlement letter back in November, also request for bio pages of passports.
Eye colour Height. Patience is the key, very nerve racking we are in limbo but know we are at the final hurdle.
I check everyday for the news we all wait for, it will happen. Canada immigration work hard and have many applications.
Six months for Aipp, a few may go over this. I never use forums but felt I should share my experience so far.
Background checks are the last and crucial part of the process, if it is saying processing and everything else is in place you are getting close in my opinion.

Good to meet another truck driver on this scheme. So you are staying at home until your PR is granted. I came over on a WP. In a way I now wished I’d stayed in the UK until our PR was issued but my employer wanted me over on a WP ASAP. What company are you going to in NB. You must be very close to your PPR request,

Hi again,
We are going to locate in Woodstock, very nice town working for a family based company which we met last September on a visit.
Our journey started last feb 18. Been a long process, application went to Sydney AUG 20TH RECEIVED. AOR was mid sept18.
Will they still need our passports as British citizens not sure? Hope you and your family get the result you need soon.

We are on thesame boat. In my gckey last December states backrpund check is in process.. how long do you think BGC takes? I am here in NB as a WP holder, waiting for my PR. My family is still in my home country, once PR is out, they will move here with me. Yup, patience is the key -it's the game here.

@TheNorms how are you doing so far in NB?

Hello All,
I got a job offer throught the AIPP program on August, wrote a test and did series of interviews online via skype. My employer gave me an offer letter around october and she advised that i sit for IELTS(minimum score of 5) and also to do my ECA(Educational Credential Evaluation). Still waiting for my IELTS scores, sat for it last week and I'm in the process of doing my ECA. She said she has sent my settlement plan to the province waiting for their endorsement before we move forward. Any more thing i should know? and anyone here similar with me
Hello would you be kind enough to let me know how you scored an interview with the company where you got the job offer. I have experience working in the bank.

Hi ishpiringkiting, Looking at the immitracker most cases are going to PPR after medicals passed in around 2 to 3 months. Some within 1 month. It’s definitely a test to everyone’s patience! We are in PEI, which a nice province but it’s a total pain when the bridge gets closed to trucks... my wife checks the gckey all the time wishing the status will change

Yes they will need a copy of your UK passports for PPR, on landing they will confirm PR in your original passports. Yeah I got a couple of job offers one being in NB, we looked at Woodstock as a base as my job would have been about a 45 min drive away. But we decided to take the PEI job instead. You off to Ayr motors if so they will keep you busy.

Hi Norms,
No not Ayr motors, we have had a request back in November for our bio pages of our passports and height and eye colour.
I did see last year your posts on Brit expats, I also had 1st app sent back missed one tiny bit out, sorted quick sent back.
Would have had PR by now. Also we then had to do biometrics A’s came after july31st.

Of course the new biometrics rules, we are lucky we don’t need to provide them being inland. Oh yeah our pack was sent back as we missed including my education certificates with the ECA. The pack was sent to the UK by mistake as our change of address hadn’t been processed so 2.5 months later it arrived back in Canada. We then had to wait for a new endorsement to be issued so yeah we should have had PR a few months ago. Never mind it will come soon hopefully for all of us.

I'm also a truck driver for Green Army out of Dieppe. I moved to NB last summer from Ontario where I spent 6 years. My wife loves Dieppe. Needless to say there is French immersion program at elementary schools which will create great opportunity for your children. Place is safe. So far the only cons I can see are high hydro bills and food price. But for trucks drivers it's not a problem. We can get food on both sides of the border.
Great thing is public safety. In Ontario my child saw tens of addicts everyday. It's kind of sad but it's harsh reality there.

If your company will keep you busy you will make as same money as in Ontario.
Also air is not that polluted. Better for your loved ones lungs. Not yours as New Jersey will destroy yours :)

I got my medicals 2 months ago. My wife is checking our status everyday or even every hour. Good luck for all of you.
