mother visitor visa

i applied visitor visa for mother and it is approved

in the approval letter it says they dont issue visa duration more than passport expiry date

my moms passport expiring in 6 months

is it ok i apply new passport and then submit to vfs for stamping as i applied with old passport number ?

You should have got a new passport before you applied if you want her to stay longer. A lot of airlines will not let people on with only 6 months left on passport

Nope- you'd have to submit first for change in passport to the NDVO, and then get another mail approval to go ahead.

??? Mate, I just got my mom-in-law’s TRV approved by New Delhi visa office. Stop badgering and get your facts right. It depends on which location in India you applied from.

Btw you can carry your old passport( with the approved visa) and your new passport- it’s a much better route to avoid all this hassle. Hope this helps.

yes she can. express service arrives passport in 3 business days in india

so this is the best option for me now

This is what I said earlier- she’d have to request New Delhi visa office(if that’s where the visa was processed).
