Hello guys!

Received GCMS notes,
AOR August 4
Eligibility - not started
Security - not started
Criminality - in progress
Medical - passed
Info sharing - complete

My visa office is outside Canada. Can this be the reason why real statuses of my application are not reflected in GCMS notes? I know that when some people call CIC, agents say that don't see status updates when application is being processed outside Canada.
Or this just means that nothing has been done about my application?:(
GCMS does track even outside applications. I think your eligibility might be recommended passed and file being transferred to different VO because of which it is showing not started . Your security will only start when your eligibility is marked as passed. Good luck!

Hi guys I emailed IRCC and received this feedback today. Should I be worried ?

This is in reference to your application for a permanent resident visa.

Your file is currently under review and requires additional verifications. As a result, the assessment period will be outside of our posted processing times.

Often, delays in the processing of an application are out of our control as some processing steps require coordination with external authorities.

Unfortunately at this time we are not able to determine when your application will be finalized, but our office will contact you as soon as all verifications are completed, or if any additional information or documents are required.

Delays in the processing of visa applications are always frustrating to all concerned. We appreciate your patience and ask that you keep correspondence with our office to a minimum.

Regards,
Hi I got the same reply on 15 Dec and on 08 Jan I got the PPR. Within the 6 month timeframe. So unless there is something in your GCMS that shows review required or SS; it's really a generic response. And nothing much to worry about. I thought I was under SS after seeing that email from Ottawa but it was just a generic response to possibly make me stop sending them more mails.

It’s generic email which people get after they cross six months and not much is done with their application. It’s just a way to say your application is delayed because we were unable to work on it and don’t know when we will work on it.

Don’t think about such replies as they will only work on your file when they get time. I still hope they clear your file as soon as possible.
Thanks for the reply but my file is 5 months in. Why would they send it to me already?

Your reply gave me some relief! I have ordered for GCMS notes. So I will see if there is a review required or SS.

I sent an email to CPC Ottawa on 4 Jan about tracking the status of my application. My AOR is on 5 June. I received the following reply. Can someone help me decipher the meaning of this response?

Thanks all
your security hasn't started.

But they requested some additional documents about my military service and my resume around 10 October. I assumed that these documents are related to security. Why do you think that the security has not stated?

@cadgijoe Look at this. I've read you tell people this response means SS. Please stop that. It's just a response, only notes can provide SS information.

I am not sure on your AOr, but your file may/will take more than usual time due to Military service. I assume you also have answered 'Yes' to a couple of statuary questions while filing the application. But dont worry, additional docs or checks doesnt necessarily mean SS

Good Morning @tobs Good to see you around... after PPR... You havent started packing it seems :)...(aware you have May landing planned) ...
Yes, May. So I'll be here till you all (and my July folks too) get your PPRs (except when I'm on the field), and probably even after that because I think I'm addicted to this forum.

I should add that the military service is mandatory for all males in my country. Furthermore, the answers to all statutory questions were given "NO"

June Family,

So finally the time has come when I get to announce ... I have just received my PPR in my account. I just got a message in my email that I have a new message in my account. When I checked it was the Passport Request note.

This has been a one hell of a wait and really tough journey for me. May be one day I will write about other things as well. But for now I'm more relieved than happy. Saying that this wait has been tough is an understatement and I think only the folks waiting till now can really appreciate how it feels.

My sincere thanks and gratitude to each and everyone of you who have given me your best wishes and blessings.

My sincere thanks to folks who have sent me PMs just to cheer me up and keep me going (some who never post here and have an account just to wish me luck). No amount of thanks can ever repay for a gesture like that. I may have done something right here that some people feel that way for me.

I hope this excruciating wait ends for you all. I really pray for that. I know how it feels.

Thank you all once again!
Congratulations Cansha. and with this PPR we can safely say that June PPR percentage is just got shoot up to 80% because you are the face of this thread :) I really wish everyone get their ppr very soon.
