I think anyone who has a ghost update is in luck. It means file has moved and PPR can happen. So @Y@$h you may also see something soon.
I’m yet to see any ghost visit me. So chances are zero that I hear anything before New Year.
you may also get straight PPR cansha.. I mean without any ghost updates. The guy with username thebestapplicant (AOR June 18) also got a straight PPR 2 weeks ago with no ghosts whatsoever. The only ghost he got was the PPR. I hope you and all others get it soon..... I know how hard this wait is..

Please say the story of how you called the agents and what they told you today. To further buttress that agents say crap many times and they don't really know the actuall status of the application
Yeah, this morning I called the call center and when i asked what caused the 2 ghosts, she said the eligibility review date is recently changed to Jan end and may be that caused the ghost. She told to call back in Jan end for any updates.

She was actually so nice and friendly. We discussed Christmas, snow, gifts and stuff.. I believed her and convinced myself not to expect anything till Jan end. But God is Great!!!!

Posting it here once again.

Folks please use this link to provide feedback to CIC on their services https://secure.cic.gc.ca/feedback-retroaction/feedback-retroaction-eng.aspx

Choose the option to "Comment" and then "processing times". I think even our friends who have received PPR can fill this out. It is just a feedback form which I'm not sure if anyone reads or not. But even if there is 1% chance someone will read it and take it to the right people it is worth a try. I think for most June guys either they have received PPR or the time has gone for an early PPR but it may help someone down the road.

If you choose to take out 5 minutes of your time. Below are some of the points I suggest the feedback may focus on (You can completely disregard below list or add/edit however you like)

  • Let them know that the process not being FIFO adds to worries of candidates. We understand it can't be 100% FIFO but efforts must be taken to do so.
  • Let them know we have seen many GCMS notes which clearly show that the file was actually delays since no one looked at the file for months!
  • Let them know that some visa offices are definitely very slow compared to others. Examples Montreal or recent case of Sydney not releasing PPR unless someone emailed NDVO which is counter intuitive and weird.
  • Let them know again that the progress bar is basically useless
  • Request them to setup a separate helpline or email or a process to expedite or prioritize cases already beyond the normal 6 months timeline. What's the use of the timeline if we don't have a recourse after time has elapsed

Thank you for taking time and reading this. And thanks in advance if you are going to take action and fill the feedback form. Have a wonderful holiday season!

@phaneeswar130 ............ One recommendation for you ........when sending passports use UPS instead of FedEx. For some inane reason everybody uses FedEx but UPS is equally good if not better than FedEx. The reason that I am recommending UPS is:
- They have currently a promotion going on and the round trip cost from US to Canada cost me around $70 USD, including signature on delivery option. FedEx was around 140.
- Even if the promotion gets over you can find coupons for UPS on the web. Could not find any for FedEx. Last time I sent something to India, I was able to find a coupon even at that time.
- No Commercial invoice required. UPS has a checkbox which says you are sending documents only with no commercial value. If you check this box and put "passports and documents" in the description box, then you don't need to fill up the commercial UPS. As my account did not generate the commercial invoice I went to a UPS store and they confirmed that as I had checked this box I would not need any commercial invoice.
- UPS is fast. They delivered mine in 1 day. My return tracker got activated today and I am scheduled to receive my passport on Monday.

Thank you so much dude....! This is extremely helpful info.. appreciate it :)
Also, if are using US, the return trip to US will cost $60 or more..... you need to manipulate the system so that it will charge you around $37 :)
1) From you account generate the return label for $60. Remember for the onward trip you can put the value of your documents at $1 and use the coupon code "EASY", but for the return trip the system does not let you put any value for you package neither does it let you use the coupon code. Just ignore it and generate the label.
2) From your account go to your shipping history, check the box next to return label and click ship again
3) Check all details......For example, check the "no commercial value" box, put "documents and passports", in description, weight as .5 lb and then apply the coupon code "EASY". That's it. your total will now come down to around $37 :). I put .5 lb as the weight because, that is the max allowed weight for the envelope. I observed if I enter the weight as .4 lb, the price was around $4 less. But as I was sending 2 passports and did not want to take a chance, I put the weight as .5 lb. At the UPS store they weighed my envelope and the weight including the return envelope was .2 lb. I am not recommending anything from the weight perspective, but choose wisely.

4) Don't forget to void the original return shipment, otherwise you will be double charged. :)
5) For the initial return label, they will charge your CC. But for the hacked label you can't pay using your CC. The system does not take it. In the payment option put pay using my account (or something similar). This way you would get charged only when IRCC ships the document and you would get a bill later.

Look at my tracking info below, it has cleared customs in the US with no commercial invoice.

I had put this "Need for commercial invoice" bit on my "figure out things to do" list in July end as something to do after PPR. :D:D I'm yet to do this.
You know people just follow blindly without using any logic. A few months back I had sent documents to India using UPS and there was no commercial invoice generated. At that time also I had checked the box "document of no commercial value".
While sending my passport and only because it was my passport, I went to the UPS store to double check. They said you don't need it as you have checked tthat box. They also said that whenever you need one, the system would generate one for you and email it to you.
Also, I just updated my post above and if you look at the tracking info, you would see my passports are already in Tampa :)

I have sent documents to India before and you're correct I have never generated a commercial invoice. I had used fed ex. But, then I thought may be it is a requirement of US customs when I saw people mention it on some threads. I think I may have seen a post where someone claimed his or his friend's passport was either held at US customs or may be at Ottawa. I think CIC made them send a commercial invoice before they could ship the passports. But, anyhow your explanation makes sense to me. For crying out loud "Commercial invoice" has the word "Commercial" in it:D Intuitively, it should not be applicable to personal documents.

I think I know the post you are talking about. Even on IRCC's website they list out steps on how to generate a shipping label using FedEx and the need for commercial invoice. But then it is FedEx, they are adifferent courier company and have their own standards. On FedEx webiste, I could not find any checkbox which I could have marked to say that the contents are documents only with no commercial value and I guess that is the reason they need commercial invoice.

To be honest, I have never used online Fedex. I tried once it was too confusing for me :D So, I go to store and in there the form did have the check box for documents (I guess)
